Hi,

I am using a Provari and a Provari mini as my APVs. This problem is solved as they perform very well and are reliable. But the atomizer part is my problem. I had used the Z-Atty-Pro but I was disappointed as it is not portable. I had tried ceramick wicks and steel mesh wicks, and flat band kanthal wire as well as normal wire. The Z-Atty-Pro is not for me, the ceramic wicks broke very fast and the steel mesh is difficult to use, causing shorts or burn taste. Plus it is not a portable atty at all. Now I am using an Ithaka clone (Magoo by iSmoka) but I am disappointed because I have to weld wires in order to build myself a new resistance. What other options are out there? I am thinking to try a kayfun Lite Plus or a Russian 91%. Which one is better? Do I need also to weld wires? I am looking for a simple and reliable solution.

Thanks,
Codrut

Welding NR wire is not required on the kayfun and all of its clones. I don't own either of these you mentioned, but it seems they are both very good and whichever is actually better is purely an opinion. Even the cheap clones seem pretty good, although I would want one with a glass tank and the fogger (taifun clone?) seems needlessly difficult to rebuild. Well, not difficult but not as easy as it should be.

Just got my Kayfun Lite Plus built yesterday. Works as well as everyone says. Took it with me to work and had absolutely no issues with it. Sat in my front pocket while walking/sitting/standing for about 7 hours. Not one drip out of it. Performed well and as an added bonus, looks sexy sitting on my Hcigar brushed stainless Nemesis clone.

Got a kayfun lite plus and Russian 91% clone(the "$40 on ebay" one) and yes, they perform great and real easy to build. I've recently kinda mastered rebuilding Protanks and I get no leaks with cotton and performs almost as good as the Kayfun. Try an auto drip build with the z-atty. I've had success with genesis attys not leaking when plugging up the wick hole with cotton. Only thing is you must tilt your mod every now and then. Never tried an Ithaka, but I have 2 Odys v1. It can be a pain twisting NR/R wire, but I got use to it and was actually kind of fun trying to get creative with the builds. Good luck on with you future KFL+.
