Hi there,

I am using a z atty pro with stainless steel mesh and 0.20 kanthal wire. I have changed the wick with a new one and now the liquid gets darker while vaping. I think burned liquid comes back from the vaporization chamber down into the tank. Is there any solution to that?

Some liquid just change color with heat. Some of mine turn dark even in carto tanks. The solution is to get a colored glass for the ZAP and not worry about it

If you preburn your mesh, it is probably oxides and carbon leaching back into your juice. Heat could also be a factor...

Thanks for the replies. Another question, is there any advantage of using ceramic wicks? I have bought some but didn't try them yet. Do you need to use cotton with these ceramic wicks?

Ceramic can't ground out like stainless steel, so shorted coils aren't an issue... Ceramic is very brittle though, be gentle with it. You just use the ceramic by itself, in lieu of the stainless wick. No cotton necessary
