So I've been rebuilding coils for my tanks for awhile now(PT, iclear 30, etc). Now I want to get an actual RBA. I'm looking for some recommendations for some reasonably priced quality RBAs. Side note: I would prefer one that has a decent juice carrying capacity, my buddy has one but he has to drip into it all the time because it doesn't hold much. Thanks in advance guys.

I would say to skip genesis style (vertical coil and wick, with tank on the bottom) RTA's unless you're going to be able to keep them upright all the time - they tend to leak a fair bit and I've had some unhappy moments taking them out and about. Since you've been building coils on itty-bitty platforms already, you probably don't need the ease of something like a RSST to build on, which would be about the only reason I'd recommend a genny style as a starter.

The Kayfun/Russian style are great, although often pricey. I'd say go for a good *cough cough* clone like ephro's if $100+ is a show shopper for you. Can't say enough good things about this style of RTA.

I don't know why I keep reading that... My RSST hasn't leaked once and I lay it down everyday on my work commute.

I like my HCigar Kayfun 3.1 clone. So much so that I bought a second one. Only drawback is no glass tank available so I have to use the SS tank as I'm pretty careless even though I tried to be careful. Kayfun style tanks seems to need more wicking attention (sufficient wick, laying of coil on the top deck, not blocking the fluid channels, etc) else it's easy to get a dry hit which can be pretty harsh. Check them out at Luxor Vapes, located in LA. Ships free and fast.

However, I also just bought a Pyrex tank Smoktech RSST to mess around.

Count yourself lucky, then (or myself and others unlucky, I suppose). The issues I've had mostly revolve around juice from the tank leaking into the coil chamber when it's tilted. Once that happens, juice gets out the air hole(s). I've had the same problem with the AGA-T, Steamboy, and I-Atty. Others claim leakage from loose connections with the friction fit top caps after flooding.

Isn't the Russian a clone of the Kayfun? I could be wrong. The vape shop I was at this past weekend had the Russian for $45.

If these are still available and you're available to grab one, I'll tip you kindly for your trip to the store if you wouldn't mond snagging one for me. That's an insane price.

I don't see how that's possible. It's already hard enough to get one for $100. Does it have the engraving(or whatever it is) and the same matte finish?

See when they're back in stock..best place I know of for a clone. Ebay if it takes too long, but inquire what manufacturer it is.

I really like my Fogger. It's a really tight space to work in though. It's tough to get working right but once working it's very reliable. I also have an AGA TD which is smaller for stealth and warmer due to top coil. I'm not sure which I like best. These are relatively cheap devices you may want to consider before getting a $100 or more RBA.

Everyone has their own likes, and that's a good thing. BUT, heads that cost more than the PV you intend to use them on is insane.
There are some damn good $15-20 choices out there. Try a few of them before you spring for a $90-130 head that you may or may not like.

I use drippers, so my choices probably wouldn't interest the OP. I use A7's ($16)

Is the Russian a clone of the Kayfun? Well no it technically isn't, but the full Russian is the same as the Kayfun 3.1.

What makes it not a clone, well it's like the guy who makes the Russian worked with the gut who makes the Kayfun, it was a joint effort so property rights belong to each. You'll also notice that when the Russian 91% came out with the air flow control the kayfun lite was upgrade to the plus edition with the air control which the original K.lite left out. So one could claim the K.lite plus is a clone. It's like in a divorce, who's kid is it? lmao.

By most reports the Russian 91% is the preferred choice. Do like my Full Russian.

The Flash-e-Vapor V2 is one of the great ones, also the SQuape gets high reviews, and the Aqua is great too and handles sub ohm with ease. The Flashi is my favorite, but so is the Russian and the Aqua. lol. Love all my rba's.
