Either one would be fine, from your description of what works for you, the V2.5 should fill all of your needs. I run Mostly Protanks, an IGO-L for dripping, and some kayfun's, and use a ProVari V2 and V2.5. They do everything I need of them, and frankly, I have not needed any more power than what they deliver, and prefer the simpler, (to me) menu of the ProVari Classic.
If you are not using the Aerobases with your Protanks, I would recommend getting one/some, whichever unit you decide on.

I'd get a 2.5 for your Protanks and then decide later if you want a P3 for the rebuildables. I've been using Protanks and 2.5 Provarii for a year now and I'm perfectly satisfied with them.

The 2.5 should be sufficient for your needs. Look on ProVapes website under Specials for some really good deals. Where you need the extra power of the P3 is for coils around 1Ω or less.

Provape is running a great sale on the 2.5's. Check out the special section. I have both the 2.5 and P3 and you won't find a better mod.

From what you have said the 2.5 will be more than good enough for your needs. No need to spend money you don't have to.

Tap'd from my LG G3

Agreed...

For what it's worth the p3 has the capability to be updated for software I don't know the full potential but I look at it this way if they release some crazy update I can do it, also the interface I find more user friendly. I own one I like it, simple, durable and reliable. That is what you get with Provape. I would watch Pbusardos video he breaks down what you get with the p3. I like the p2.5, however the idea of updates and a flat top and the user interface had me sold. My girlfriend swears by hers and enjoys the seamless appeal of the p3 threading. All in all you will like either. The note I want to leave you on is if you don't like either they are easily re-sold for close to what you bought... And there is a market for them.

I even bought the Provape-1 oldie, just because of the size factor. I often use clearomizers with 14-15 mm diameter and as a rebuildable, I don't really need more than my Sophia by Leo with a 15 mm tank. So if I buy another Provari, then the 2,5.

And if I ever change my mind in favor of a 22-23 mm rebuildable, there are enough cones out there for the Provari 2.5. But no cone helps me against the awkard looks of a slim tank on a fat P3 :p

Another useful consideration: The new functions of the P3. For me, they are not a plus, I don't need the potential ... I know I would rarely use them.

I apologize for the delay in responding.

I was leaning towards the 2.5 until I realized that the price of a black 2.5 + the price of the 18650 extension cap + beauty ring + 2 AW IMR 18650 batteries (I recently bought sony VTC ones which are no good for the 2.5) is around 35 USD less than the price of a P3.

I guess $35 is not a big difference so I will go for the P3 since it has all the features I need and will work with my batts too.

I am greatly thankful to everyone who has helped me here. Greatly appreciated :)

And here it is in its glory :)

I have to admit that it's heavier than I thought but it's doing a good job.

The threads were not clean and seems something was spilled on the extension tube. I will check with the shop as I doubt it came like that from Provape.

The box itself was not sealed. Is that normal?
