Okay so I bought a pack of 5 coils from fasttech as I needed some coils, they arrived today and well.. they don't really look too good. there like barely any wick on them! and the rubber seal thing on it is tiny.. all I need to do is just look at it and know it's going to just leak and gurgle and ew.
Here's a pic;

Should I put a bigger rubber seal on it? There's barely any silica wick on these things I'm quite disappointed really.. Don't know what I expected ordering from fasttech but not that!

Any ideas on what I should do with these? :/

Never done any rebuilding, I don't even have any wire or cotton for it :( These are my only coils I have left too
I'd say try one, if its really that bad then do what i suggested. Ive never ordered from fasttech before so im not sure what the quality is like. Goodluck!

If it were me, as long as I felt the materials were safe I would try one. Lately I've been trying different coil designs and different wicking and it's taught me that there are a lot of misconceptions about what works best out there.

If you find the first one doesn't wick right rebuild one. If you find the seal is too small and can replace it, replace it. You might end up with nothing, or you might end up with a great vape and learn something in the process.

If you do try rebuilding them, make sure you have something good to vape while you're working on them and have fun.

That's different then. I guess all you can do is try one and hope for the best. You can buy any cotton at a drug store if that would help. I've even used first aid gauze and it was surprisingly good after the taste of hydrogen peroxide went away after a dozen puffs.

Good luck with it!

The wick(2) are tiny(Silica not cotton). One is in the coil and the other is on top of the coil. The top one is usually called a flavor wick. They are only 2mm in diameter and perhaps 10mm in length. Do not sweat it, use them. The bottom seal is fine.

The only thing you should do is prime the wick ends prior to installing, fill the tank, sit for a couple minutes and vape away.

Quite a bit, yes, except mine are 2.0 ohm (Which is quite a lot for my liking)

But anyway, it looks to me like the big hole in the side where the silica wick should be will let in a lot of juice, which surely will cause a lot of liquid to enter the air chamber and cause a lot of gurgling?
Edit; if you look on the second/third coil in the picture there's just a gap, I've looked at them myself and I can see right through them, which will cause a lot of juice flooding, right?

It is not really visible on picture. Anyway, wet wick can expand. You may want to give it a try, or check if they are coils for your atty, not for something else.

The coils were suggested to me and listed for aerotank which is what I have.. I have a bigger rubber seal that I have from an old coil I'll put on it, that should do the trick, I hope! Thanks everyone for their help. I might also purchase some silica wick, where can I get it from?
