(If you like this kind of stuff) still sounds fresh after 25 years. This is where "d-beat" came from. You hear it more on songs like "Drunk with Power."
I'm checking my Hendrix boots. They tend to be excellent. No room for subpar when there's so much awesome. I already found a dud and IIRC that Canadian Club disc's speed is way off. Swingin' Pig are always nothing but the best. Stones, Zappa, Little Feat, Doors & Neil Young are next.
Same band. This a really excellent song if you like metal. The minor arpeggios starting at 3,55 are fairly awesome and actually kind of emotional sounding.
It has been awhile... A friend showed me a video of Harry Nilsson singing "Without You" in a natural singing voice, save that he sang about two octaves higher; and published it. Harry was( ) a personality. Another example:
This had a lot of harmonizing for an open concert. It must have been a good concert. Paul seems to be a little more "relaxed" on the 2nd video and it shows even more in the third.
