What type of atomizer is this? Where is the coil? Is there a coil? So far I think the rough v-shaped thing is some steel wool kind of material , or else the coil is somehow contained inside of it, or else it IS the heating element but is not a coil.

looks like a 306 dripping atty, the coil is inside the body and the mesh is to catch the fluid. sort of a wick - the mesh is called a bridge

you usually use one of these with a shield that slides over the body holds about 5 drops.

here is a version of the tip that slides over it

io6 Delrin Drip tip
Frosted 306 Drip tip

I used to use this type of atomizer on 'supercigarette' which came with cartridges; 3 piece system; battery, atomiser, and cartridges. Unfortunately the place I got it from only sold the kit and the cartridges but they didnt carry extra atomisers.

What I like about this atomiser construction, is it looks easy to CLEAN and REUSE.

No cloth like wick to worry about; but then again, I can't see inside where the coil is supposed to be so I wonder if the coil can get gunked up?
