New to vaping. Just upgraded to an innokin MVP v2 from a ego twist with a cartotank. So far I love it. It came with the iclear30. I want to start buying extra tanks but don't know where to begin. I love the rotating tip on the I clear and the fact that everything screws together, that's the only problem I had with the cartotank. Wanting to get a very high quality tank( something that will last and produces best flavor and vapor) that can have the rotating tip that screws on and locking bottom. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

every tank system can last a good while with proper care and maintenance. I personally just buy the rotating driptips on fasttech, they work just like a 510 driptip and will work with pretty much everything. just keep in mind everything there will be shut down for a week or two due to holidays. Then it will take about 2 weeks minimum to get to you.

I haven't built a tank topper in almost a year since I started rebuilding the ones that I have, so im not sure all what is on the market any more.

I was searching through some threads and read a couple comparing cartos to clearos but being new it just confused me. Which one generally produces the best flavor and most vapor? What would be considered the top brands? I'm sure there is already a thread discussing this but I'm just having trouble navigating the forums.

This forum is pretty massive and there's a lot to look at. I use both and really don't see to huge of a difference in flavor between the two.Cartomizers put out more vapor than the clearomizers. Once they're shot you toss them. Clearomizers might give a little more flavor, but I don't really notice. You can clean a clearomizer and dry burn the gunk off of the coils, and kind of get more bang for your buck. Buying replacement heads is a bit more than a cartomizer. The e liquid you use is another factor. If you're using dark colored heavy e liquid it's best to stick to cartomizers. Hopefully I didn't confuse you

If you like the IClear 30 you might want to try the IClear 30S. I bought one a few weeks ago and i wound up buying another one because i liked it so much. The way they have the wick/coil set up keeps the wicks wet with very little fluid.

The other good thing with the iclear30-S is you can use your own drip tip if you ever tire of the rotating tip. Plastic tank is interchangeable and replacements in a variety of different colors are available for around $2 each.

BTW, if you really like the iclear30 you are definitely going to like the 30-S ;)

I read in a couple of different places that the Iclear30s can handle the acidic juices. Anyone know if this is true? I have an Iclear30 that came with my MVP and really like it for flavor and vapor production, thinking of adding a 30s.

Handle the acidic juices, maybe, but here is mine after using an ejuice that reacted with the plastic:

The fogging up was pretty quick, I noticed this within a few minutes. Funny thing though, with a different juice company, but exact same flavor, it had absolutely zero reaction to any of my polycarbonate tanks.

Some people will disagree with me, but for myself, if a particular juice eats plastic, I'm not vaping that brand any longer regardless of having a pyrex tank or not. If the same flavor from another company has no ill effect, then that's the brand I will stick with.

I've used both clearomizers and cartotanks, and IMHO cartotanks win by a landslide with the best flavor and most consistancy.

My preferred cartotanks are the IBTanked. IBTanked Review
