This vid is excellent from a knowledgeable vet.....DAM718 I believe. My friend said he used cotton pulled from a Qtip if you don't have any wicks as your taste wick...you'll know after you watch the vid. On a side note....UDCT tanks coupled with the Smoketech carto's take a little learning curve, but are flawless. The 6 mil tank is much easier than the 3mil tank to fill for noobs like me. Did I mention it's flawless. Don't get discouraged....you can do this. There is a lot of knowledgeable and helpful people here....Good luck.

Helpful People is an understatement:thumb:. I was ready to kill stuff Wed night. By Thur morning I was near insane:censored:. I was just a little too calm for hubby. Then he took a puff said that something flew into his mouth. LOL I lost it a bit, said enough colorful words :-xto make a Sailor blush. Cleaned that house a bit, I clean when I am angry...keeps my hands busy so my mind can relax. Talked with a few very helpful and PATIENT folk on here. Now...I don't feel so bad.
The batteries seem to be holding up better. I will know more after I wake hubby. I hope to have better news there as well. I could have been the turning off and on of the things.

All Hubby had to say when it was all said and done was, "Thank GOD the dogs didn't need a bath. You would have scrubbed the poor things BALD!!!" and "Thank you honey." The 1st one made my soda come outta my nose!! The second was all I needed to put a perfect end to yesterdays Newb Fest!! Thank you ALL again so very very much!!!
NOW......Should we be charging these things every night or waiting until the light blinks three times while puffing?? "Hey!! I am about to die!!! CHARGE ME!!!" I have read several threads and many many posts, No REAL SOLID ANSWER. Since you all have been correxct so far, I thought I would throw this out there as well.

Li-ion batteries do not develop 'memory' you can wait until they flash or no longer fire the device on top or charge them at any stage of discharge without losing battery life or charge hold capacity.
BUT, only if your charger is functioning correctly.

Out of the 14 ego style chargers Ive accumulated, 2 routinely overcharged the batteries, 1 routinely undercharged the batteries, 1 was DOA, 1 worked intermittently.
So out of 14 chargers 5 malfunctioned and found a new home in the trash, hopefully QC has improved, I wouldn't bet on it. What I would bet on is those that experience short battery life are using a fubar charger. Best to have another one handy.
The worst thing you can do to a Li-ion battery is overcharge it, the second worst thing is draw it down too far before recharging. All ego style batteries I am aware of have over discharge protection built in, hence the flashing light.

The batteries I use now flash 3 times when you hit the auto shut off (rev limiter / drag police / internal inhale time limiting Nazi) or it detects an over/under ohm condition, flashes 5 ~ 20 times when they need recharging.

Li-ion batteries have a much longer lifespan if you keep them above 30-40% full, so it is best to charge often. Completely draining them is not the end of the world, but if you want longevity don't be killing them on a daily basis. This is the same concept for your laptop or cell phone battery.

I am not sure about how many times it flashes for any thing. Hubby tells me that is is flashing. Once cause he puffed too long...took care of that. It will flash 3 times when he tries to draw if the battery is low. It flashes 3 times, initially, when it is connected to charger.
I did accidently hook one back up to the charge right after it had just charged to full and Little light was Green. It flashed like 15 or more times. I quickly unhooked it.
I will pay closer attention in the future.

I would REALLY like to know why there is no manual on these things. I looked at the Battery Care web-site but I could not make heads-or-tails of it. Is there a version for Dummies??
Will put one on the charger each monring till it goes green, then put the other one on. We have 4 chargers, and 2 USB cords. I am not a fan of pluggin them in to the computer to charge. How do you go about figuring out if your chargers are over-doin or under-doin it??

DANG IT ALL TO HECK!!!! For got to get the danged meter while we were out today. RATS-BUTTS!!!

This is why I don't recommend tanks/clearos to new vapers. Its a bad introduction to vaping.

I started on an eGo-T with those little plastic tanks and moved to clearomizers precisely to get away from leakage! I tried every single tank in the eGo-T starter kit, in combination with both atties, and they all leaked. Without knowing the term at the time, I ended up dripping with that thing.

Now I use the world's cheapest, no-QC, Chinese knock-off CE4-style clearos and the leakage is minimal. A drop onto the battery post is normal, and with a few of them I get occasional gurgling, but that's it.

I'm not sure which is better, charging every night, or charging once depleted, there are conflicting answers. One thing I wanted to ask though, are you sure the battery is fully drained when you think it is? There's an automatic cut-off if you hold the button for too long, just checking.

Charge as you go. There is no need to wait for the battery to discharge completely. As a matter of fact, those batteries will last longer if they are topped off rather than charged--recharged fully.

T3 Leaks are now under control for the most part. The lil tug on the wick for one, keeping them topped off, laying them on their side when not in use...there was something else..just can't remember it right now. Started topping off the batteries yesterday and plan to top each of them off every morning from now on. I get up a few hours before he does so will be not problem there.

Have to go to another forum or thread thingy dealing with DIY Liquids and Juices. He Likes the flavor, TH, and vapor from the lil Cart's that came with the Kr808D-1, over what he is getting from the T3.....so now I gotta go figure out how to get the 808 Taste and so forth into the T3's. Before anyone asks....Yes the lil buggers have been soaked in Vodka, Boiled for 5 min, Rinsed, Boiled for another 5min, then air-dried. I just put a few drops of my DIY mix in there to let him try it before I fill his T3's. I don't get it?!?!?!?! I am prob gonna copy and paste this over there to save me a little time. I will also keep checkin back here, just incase someone here has a few pointers and doesn't feel like clickin over to another thread.

Try having him cover one or two of the three air holes in the base of the T3 as he's puffing on it. Being a bottom coil, with a very airy draw, that is probably much taller than the carto, the vapor from the T3 probably feels much cooler and less dense than what he's used to. If he likes it better with the air holes covered, you can break off the tip of a toothpick in the air holes to more permanently block them.

I did this when I first got my t3's. It was a source of a lot of the leaking/gurgling problems that I had at the time. One thing that you have to remember with these bottom coil clero's is that if you try to draw air through them faster than the air holes can replace that air you will start to suck the juice out of the tank. I also had to break the habit i had of doing short fast puffs every once in a while. I didn't even realize I was doing it until I started using T3's and trying to figure out the leaking problem i had.

My T3's never did preform well on the factory wicks and coils. I have 6 of them and all the coils were very sloppy and bent in a way that the wicks never really made a good seal at the bottom of the opening. They had 3 wraps on one side and 2 on the other with a big gap in the middle. They work so much better with my coil without that gap in the middle and cotton from a cotton ball.
