I want something of good quality that will last a long time and not cause me too many issues. I'm willing to spend up to $200 but if I don't need too then that is best. I know I'd prefer a tank to a dripper. I'm guessing a box mod is what I need? I am a complete noob to this. I definitely want something with a good amount of battery life.

All help and input is greatly appreciated. I figured it's smarter to start with questions on a forum before delving further into the topic. Hope to see some replies in the morning.

Wismec RX200 mod & a SMOK TFV4 mini tank is what I'm using currently. Couldn't be happier. Lots of battery life and reasonably future proof. You can look around for a better price but I got mines from VapeNW for less than $70

What kind of vapor are you?

High, medium or low power?

Mouth to lung or direct to lung inhaling?

Are you looking to spend up to $200 for just the mod or a mod plus an RTA?
I can do mouth to lung or direct lung inhaling, either works. I think I'm definitely going direct lung inhaling when I want to blow a nice cloud. What do you mean high, medium or low? I want a lot of smoke but I absolutely do not want it to burn my throat or sacrifice flavor. I'd like to stay at or under $200 for everything unless you can convince me to alter my budget lol. I'm just a noob but I want to get the right vape the first time so willing to spend a bit of money.

Does it blow fat clouds? What made you purchase that one? $70 seems like it might be too cheap for what I'm looking for. I'm glad it suits your needs though!

Consider batteries into your prices as well, a triple 18650 such as the RX-200 will need 2 sets of 3 batteries (6 total) that's another 35-40 dollars if you're starting fresh.

If you prefer tanks are you comfortable rebuilding? Some tanks are much better than others, if you're comfortable rebuilding I suggest a Griffin RTA if not maybe that TFV4 might sound better since you can buy pre-made coils for it.

As far as mods you have a pretty broad choice, honestly vaping these days has come down in price and the quality is definitely better than a few years ago. With 40-50 dollars you can get yourself a pretty good mod.

Clouds huh?
If you're comfortable with the rebuilds grab a Griffin RTA won't disappoint.

Don't let the mod prices fool you, these days for under 50 dollars you can get one hell of a mod.

Unfortunately my computer speakers are not working right now so I'll have to look that video up on my phone in a bit. I have no problem at all learning how to rebuild. I'm familiar with the whole process as many people I know vape. I'm trying to quit smoking and am on day 10 now so I decided it's time for a vape lol.

The RX-200 batteries has been mentioned twice here now and once on another forum. So for those seem to be what I'm choosing. I am going to look further into the Griffin RTA you suggested. Thanks for the input!

I've been suggested this same one on a couple different forums. So far this is what I'm going with. Thank you!

Edit:
Ok, here's the list I've compiled for the night. Actually going to bed now lol.
  1. Nitecore D4 New 2014 Version Black Digi Charger - 4 Slot - LCD Display
  2. Griffin RTA by Geek Vape
  3. LG Brown HG2 INR18650 3000mah 18650 Battery (pair) *3x
  4. Wismec Reuleaux Rx200 Tc Vw Box Mod Black Authentic
That should run me $170. I'm cool with that. What you guys think?

My preference would be the Cuboid at around $45, heard good things about rx200, guy at work has one. Personally like the dual battery and features and size of Cuboid are ideal. Been very tempted with the Griffin and good choice. If you wanted tank with pre-built coil option, consider the Mutank and make sure to get the velocity deck rba add-on. Have so many tanks but feeling need for something new, im considering vcmt, Griffin also Mutank, only really do rebuildable myself.
Sounds like you are on right track.

If that mod takes 3 batteries then you really need to purchase 6 of them. You will be without your device when the 3 need charging if you don't have at least 2 sets of 3. I bought mine from RTD but it seems they are out of stock at the moment. This place 18650 LG 18650HG2 3000mAh High Discharge Flat Top has also been suggested as a very good place to get authentic batteries.

If you're looking for something that does it all I'm partial to my ipv4s. But you have to have 2 18650 batteries, but I get good life from mine anyways. Or if you are looking for something smaller that does it all i love my evic mini but you have to carry an extra 18650 battery with you because of it being a single 18650 device p.s. the ipv4s and the evic mini have upgradable firmware

Instead of the rx200 buy the dna200 version so you don't need to bother swapping batteries. The dna200 charges on board via usb.

I find it curious so many consider onboard charging such a positive. I much prefer swapping out batteries and vaping on, to tethered vaping or waiting for a device to charge. I do hope to purchase a DNA200 device at some point but it will likely be one with an easily exchangeable LiPo or 18650s. I consider the required discrete charger a worthwhile one time purchase.

To each his own, though.

ENJOY
