Hey gang, I got this 30ml bottle of flue cured and it's really not doing it for me.
It's too sweet and to me it tastes like band-aids and honey.
I think this is the same stuff that smoketip put in their carts when I bought my first kit from them 2 years ago.
It's the "tobacco" flavor that turned me off of ecigs initially and had me smoking cigs again.
I just bought the flue cured from dekang because I figured it would be a really neutral tasting cigarette-imitation. Well I was wrong wrong.

Is there anyway to improve this stuff via mixing or diluting?
I bought a lot of it and would like to make use of it's 24mg nicotine reservoir + the good throat hit it provides.
I've got flavorless base, pg/vg bases, and a grip of flavors to work with.
Help me out please. I know someone here has conquered this flavor and made it work.

I got a 30ml bottle of 24mg straight up from moondrop that ill trade for it...

...all the numbers were identical so I figured why not try. All though your problem with that juice was the same issue I had with this juice. Its very piney and too high in PG and not like a subtle cigarette like I wanted it to be.

...I just dont mind the flue cured flavors as much as you do I guess.

Hmmm, I think I know what you're saying.
I'm not familiar with moondrop's flue cured but I tried some Burley Tobacco from FlavorArt and it tastes very green.
Very "floral" if you want to call it that.
Kinda like what hops is to beer... so I added some of that plus a lil bit of vape wizard to some dekang's flue cured and it definitely improved it, but didn't cure it.
I recommend Burley flavor extract from FlavorArt for adding "green" tobacco accents to your mixes.

So anyway, what is it about the Dekang's Flue Cured that sounds appealing to you exactly?? lol
I would entertain a trade but I don't really want to trade for another flue cured if it's anything like this one is.

EDIT: Also I got a 30 ml bottle of Dekang RY4 thinking I couldn't possibly go wrong.
Well, this tastes just like a doctored version of flue cured to me. Sort like how a Snicker's bar is just a Milky Way bar with peanuts added in. You know?
I really don't get it. Why are people so cuckoo for these cocoa puffs again?
Don't get me wrong. It's not like it's unvape-able. It's 24 mg, has throat hit, it's consistent, and tastes boring/plain enough to make this an all-day vape for a someone trying to quit smoking cigs.
However I just don't find this to be an enjoyable flavour at all and it's only merit to me is as a nicotine fix.
Also mixed some of this with burley + vape wizard and it seemed to improve a little bit.

Its not a flue cured...its called "Straight Up" from Moondrop. Its their straight tobacco flavor where they use actual tobacco in the liquid making process. Some people LOVE IT for what its attempting but I just didnt get it...its a very STRONG flavor.

Straight Up

Check it out at the site...maybe youll like it. There are a ton of reviews on YT as well.

Ive had flue cured before and didnt hate it but I do agree with you...its not a good cig replacement. As for RY4...Id definitely trade for that...I want to see what the hype is all about.

Ohhh okay, gotcha.
I think that describes my flavorart burley mix pretty well. So I'll pass.
But yeah I still don't understand the hype.
Last week I improvised a small batch of "sweet tobacco" out of lucki strike and various sweet/spicy flavorings and it tasted wayyyyyy better than this dekang's shwill.
Maybe it's because they are using their flue cured as a base for RY4? I don't know.

Thats what Im sayin...I bought this stuff off of hype too and the second it hit my tongue I had an instant revolted reaction...but some people LOVE it! Im letting it sit there hoping it gets better but Im still afraid to try it.

No prob on the trade...I just figured I had something that sucked and you had something that sucked...it cant get any suckier than that can it? But I agree...from your description I dont think you would have liked it either.

I'd recommend to try to dilute it with unflavored nic liquid of the same nic level. It might be that you don' t like the flavor just because it is too strong. Just the little hint of the very same flavor could be better for you. Take one part of your liquid for two or even three parts of unflavored. I like DK-TAB but I still dilute it with unflavored liquid. I like not flavors but hints of a flavor.

One reason I bought the Dekang RY4 was to see what RY4 is supposed to taste like, so I would have a frame of reference before ultimately creating my own via DIY.
But this is clearly an inferior product, and in no way, shape or form do I want to try to reproduce DIY juice that tastes like this.
So stale, and cheap, and tastes just like the crappy pre-fills that come with starter kits.
Tastes more like band-aids than tobacco.
The caramel tastes more like cheap stale pancake syrup or something.
I gotta think that the people who claim it's "good" are the same people who prefer crusty, old gas station food to a real, home-cooked meal.
Lack of "quality recognition" being the culprit, or maybe it's denial?
Just convince yourself that it's good, like how a broke college student who can only afford ramen and peanutbutter for weeks on end. Nom nom
I'd like to know how Dekang comes up with their recipes. Do they even care if it tastes good or not at this point in the company's lifespan?
Seems like they just pump that stuff out of the factory like it's steel reserve/franzia. Just total bottom barrel bullspit, pardon my frenchinese.
There is and underlying stale odor to all the Dekang's I've tried so far. No matter what flavor it's claimed as. It's in the "base" liquid that they use it seems like.
Honestly I don't even want to waste my time trying to mix with this stuff.
Probably will just let it steep forever and ever until fate finds a way for me to get rid of it.

And as for the flue cured (tastes pretty much like their RY4, only superficially different somehow) I never did really prefer flue-cured or "golden" tobacco when I smoked cigs, so I'm not sure what compelled me to buy this one.
Instead I'm going with FlavorArt and their line of tobacco flavorings from now on. I think the quality will be astronomically better than dekang's take on tobacco flavors.
FSUSA has PureCig and American Spirit which I will be trying.
I smoked American Spirit yellow, blue, and black, so my expectations on how a cigarette should taste and hit is a little different than say if I'd been into camels, marbs, or other adulterated, chemy cigs.
Can't wait to try a drop of Perique in my next tobacco mix.

lol, exactly
It's a shame that so many are introduced to ecigs by using starter kits consisting of Dekang juice and pen-style batteries.
At least it holds true to it's claim of THIS PRODUCT IS NOT A SMOKING CESSATION DEVICE.
Crappy juice, crappy batts, and I was back on the cigs faster than you can say "pack of blues, please". Ridiculous.
Just can't believe that dekangs is such a mainstay in the industry.
I mean... it would be like if pork rinds filled half the aisles at every grocery store.
A gross, weird tasting product, that few people actually enjoy, deserves a small display, next to the salty nuts, and smelly cheese, off in the corner, where only the people who dig it can bee line to and snatch it up, and the rest of the innocents can be spared, spared from that greasy product.

(I apologize if you like pork rinds :D)

You might be able to bury the taste in menthol, if you can vape that.

Personally, I'd chalk it up as a lesson to always order sample sizes first for anything but unflavored juice. I did the same thing with a 30ml bottle of Clove juice when I started -- figured, I used to smoke cloves, this'd work. Nope!
