Hi, again, youngskillz. Please, if you're not addicted to smoking, the e-cig could be dangerous for you. I feel a responsibility to discourage non-smokers (that's you) from becoming vapers. If you are not addicted to nicotine and you still insist on using the PV, then I INSIST that, for my own peace of mind, that you are only vaping 0mg juice.
I tried my first cigarette when I was 8 years old. By the time I was 16 I smoked a pack a day (and they were not lights, either). I smoked when I was pregnant. I smoked when I had pneumonia. I smoked on the way to my throat biopsy. I had to dig a partially eaten cigarette out of my toddlers mouth. PLEASE, if you aren't addicted to nicotine, DO NOT RISK IT. and BTW: one complaint that new users have is that THERE IS NO HEADRUSH OR BUZZ feeling with vaping. I don't mean to be mean (unless it means I got through to you) I just want you to realize the door that you are about to open.

Yeah i wish i could have gone back a few years and said "No thanks, i dont want to smoke". I'd be thousands of dollars richer, and alot healthier.

only a thousand? If I hadn't ever started smoking... well, I was going to figure out the amount until I realized they were, like, $1.24 a pack or something back then.8-o

thanks fellas, and i appreciate the lookout. but ive been smoking for couple years and i dont have the need to get addicted. i dont feel the need to smoke, only socially is when i smoke. so i dont think i have a risk of getting addicted.

BUT... if i cant get any effects from vaping, then how are you saying that i will get addicted to it????

if your getting that way with 18 i suggest dropping down to 12mg
its a reaction to too much nic. & your body can't handle it.
basically your getting too much nic. if you bought juice I suggest possibly diluting it down with some vg you can pic up at healthfood store. & many other places.

I get that way on 1 bottle of 24 I have but the other 24 I have does not do that to me.

Depends who is making it etc.

trust me NOBODY thinks they have the risk of getting addicted. But the fact is that nicotine IS addictive. smokers, of all drug users have the hardest time quitting. Have you ever noticed that of recovering drug addicts, almost all of them are smokers. Why? They are able to quit drinking and using ......, but smoking? NO, smoking is harder to quit.
We are not addicted to the effects of vaping, just as we weren't addicted to the effects of smoking. I haven't had a headrush in years-a headrush is what happens to people who don't really smoke all that much. I smoked because I am addicted to nicotine. If I didn't smoke I didn't feel "functional". I was able to quit for almost 7 months one time, the problem was that I dreamed about it every night for those 7 months. PLEASE, if you are able to never smoke again, do that! That's my best advice.

I never got abuzz from a cig.
I do get it from too high of a nic.
almost like i was tweaking.
& if u get the right nic & right flavoring it can truly help.
when I have the right nic & flavoring I can stop smoking or cut down.
I currently am back to 2packs a day due to bad juice i got that was too strong & nic content was outrageous... first day was great then i tasted & smelled chemicals.
loved the taste the first day but for 2 months now I have not been able to go back to that juice.

everyone will notice different effects & notice different things. I can not judge a juice by someone else.

Just like i ordered a 510 kit & will be selling it as I dont like it.
as soon as I gather it all up. I prefer the 401... put it at 3.7 and get a ultimate taste hit. & th... while 510 & 901 for me is just th & lack of taste.
but we all see it differently

When i started smoking, i could feel the effects of it. The buzzed feeling and the calming effect. And yes, I could smoke when I wanted to and not smoke if I didn't feel like it. I would smoke with my friends, socially. I would smoke on the weekends. I thought how great it was that I couldn't get addicted to it like so many others were. Yes, even me. 25+ years later, all the effects are gone. No more buzzed feeling and the reason it's calming to me now is that if I don't have it I have a constant feeling of anxiety. So I smoked to feel normal. The reason that I'm bugging you so much is that I sounded just like you before it was too late for me. Don't let it be too late for you. Quit while it's easy.

with all due respect to you sir, i didnt ask this question for a lesson on quitting smoking.

Im just trying to find out the physical effects of vaping an e-cig with about 18mg of nicotine. And since im a mild smoker, i do get the buzz from the regular cigarettes, and im trying to find out if ill get those effects from vaping.

So, besides giving you the vapor and sensation of inhaling it, what physical effects do e-cigs give u?

KUYA, im not getting it on 18mg. im about to try 18mg. IM just wondering what effects it will have?
Nicotine is a stimulant, it will increase your heart rate and blood pressure, much like caffeine. If you are an occasional nicotine user, then you will feel a buzz...but it is not the same as a smoking buzz and it will come on slower. The buzz is different due to a lack of carbon monoxide and a few thousand carcinogens that are a byproduct of tobacco combustion.

Because the 'active ingredient' of vaping is the stimulant nicotine, you could get pretty much the same buzz from a different stimulant (i.e. the caffeine in a double espresso).

Your body just might become addicted to nicotine because vaping delivers a lot more nicotine than smoking. On average, there is 22mg of nicotine per pack of cigarettes. Your 18mg juice contains 75% of the nicotine found in an entire pack of smokes. Taking in an addictive substance at that level increases your chances of becoming addicted.

...will it give me a buzz like regular cigarettes or is vaping bull....?
No, it will not give you a buzz like regular cigarettes. If that is what you're looking for, then yes, vaping is bull....

I don't want to come off preachy...I know it is a free country and you are an adult who can make your own decisions, but I still have to say it:
Please don't smoke.
Please don't vape with anything but 0mg juice.
Why take the chance of becoming addicted to nicotine?

If youre a social smoker you probably are addicted to nic, just not someone who goes nuts without one. So your 'addiction; is what Id call minor. My ex was like you lol He could go DAYS without a cig, but if he was in a pub - yeah - he had to have one.
As for a buzz - well I have to disagree with people - I get one off 24mg nic because its too high for me, gives me the 'swimmy head' feeling, which I actually don't like so I dont vape that high. I've been doing fine on 12mg - although I tend to chain vape so I got some zero nic juice for that - and if I must have a buzz 18mg will do it for ME. For you it could be higher, but you don't want to be chain vaping (vaping like chain smoking) on that high, give you headaches, ick.
Vaping itself can be addictive - not from the nic but from the actual habit it mimics (mouth/hand inhale/exhale thing). I doubt if you are soley a social smoker you will fall into that (gotta watch yourself though, its not hard to start chaining on it lol), as long as you just use it when you feel like you would normally have smoked.
