Was a 25 year, pack a day smoker and quit the day my Eluma came! Its a great starter kit and their flavors are really good...I decided on that one due to price and # of carts in the starter kit (5 packs of 5 carts, variety pack of flavors including menthol).

Just ordered a KR808D-1 with an USB pass-through...can't wait to try that one either. I really like mixing up my own batches of e juice...chocolate and menthol is my favorite right now! No analog ever tasted this good!!!

Glad to see another Eluma fan!! It was my third kit...

I really like their flavors as well. For the curious they are a 902 model (proprietary 901).

To the OP: I recommend the 510 atomizer based systems (ego etc). It's hard to go wrong with them. It would be better to start at the 510 and then try others than the other way around.

Asking which brand is really the wrong question.
A more accurate question is which model.

This would have been great to know, and saved me 20 bucks or so. When I got my first (and only, thus far) e-cig, I was also looking at brands, not understanding that brands are often just a model that's sold as something different.

I ended up with the Totally Wicked Tornado, which, I believe, is a 510 with an upgraded battery. It's been amazing thus far. I have had it about a month now, I have two batterys and two atomizers, and when the battery runs out, I switch over to the other battery and atomizer combo. So far, I only need to charge my batteries once every 3-4 days, and I smoke fairly often.

I would recommend a 510 model, and since batteries and atomizers die, you might want to get all parts serperate, and just invest more at first, get a 5 pack of atomizers and a 5 pack of batteries. You'll be glad later on. Then all your missing is some screw on cap that protects the atomizer and some carts. Might be worth investigating to see if it's cheaper that way or with a "starter kit" like I got.

If your using the e-cig to quit smoking, behold! All it has taken me (And I've tried countless times to quit) is a bit of resistance the first week! I caved after 4 days, and bought a pack of analogs, but since I have got my e-cig a month ago, I have only bought 1 pack, and already (after e-cig startup cost, and 60mg of e-juice) I have saved about 80 dollars and I can run again!

You'll love e-cigs, and welcome to the forum from another new member.

I'd recommend SmokeTip to starters, just because they ship so fast and cartomizers are easy. Then, as you progress with vaping and want to get different flavors and more consistent vapor, move on to a 901 which will work with the SmokeTip batteries or get a 510 or an ego. I like the idea of the ego's battery life, but I dont know if I want to whip that huge thing out and vape it at work. I get enough questions about my 901. LOL

Actually the eGo is smaller then you'd think.... about the size of a small cigar. (i.e. petit corona) Started out with the eGo and still use it occasionally for it's classy and sleek style.

H all, Im a newbe here and wondering what brand of ecigs do you use? I tried Blue Cig and it sucked after about 3 hits I needed to put it down for about 30 minutes befor I could get another good hit (Im a realy heavy smoker) I am curently using Safe Cig, good vapor (most of the time) but Im finding the cartriges are inconsistent some work just fine and others nothing. I like a good strong vapor with every hit any sugestions?

Yeah... I tried BLU...it sucked! what a waste.

510s for me here too - the 510 eGo (which is the size of an AA battery, not big at all) and now one that IS big, (a battery mod) the Buzz with 510 threads (so I can use my fave atties on it lol)
I have tried 901s (got an adapter to use on the 510 battery) and thought they were fine but alot of my juices are very strong tasting so I really need the 510s heat for most of them.

I've been through all sorts of hardware...Everything from the janky mall kiosk e-cigs to the mods I'm working on...

So far, the best thing for me has been the combination of the 900mAh Mega eGo, 510 LR cartos, and VaporBomb juice. The batts run all friggin' day long and into the next day (even on LR)...Unless I'm leaving the house for an extended period of time, the only thing I take with me is my Mega eGo and a 5ml of whatever I'm vaping.

Happy vaping!! :D

Thats funny cause I retured my Blu stating that it crapped the bed after exactly 3 hits. Ive used 901's and 510's, prefer the 510 manuel.

You know, it's typical that I find out about the Puresmoker eGo sale two days after I order mine. 30 bucks wasted. Dammit dammit dammit dammit dammit dammit dammit dammit.

<sigh> I've got to learn to find this stuff before I click that damned "confirm purchase" button.

It sold out it looks like - drat!

Has anyone tried or use Direct E Cig? I like the idea of all American made e-liquid Im assuming most of the other brands are coming out of China and weve all seen the garbage they put in other products sent to the US, remember the dog food scare a few years ago. I am leary though their web site seem a little questionable.

I think you should start a new thread with this question. Since BOTH of my dogs were affected (but thankfully recovered) I am also very leery of what China produces. That was so incredibly scary. Think parvo x 3 and you get the idea. They have since found components of antifreeze in toothpastes that were made in China that ended up getting pulled off of store shelves, and frankly - I would rather reward companies that are employing people here even if it costs me a little more to buy it.

fourmedallions, I totally agree! We all know most if not all the componets for these e-cigs come out of china its just economics. I would hope the smart companies will start hearing us though and using all USA ingreedients (LAB tested and quality assurance) in their liquids if not your playing russian roulet might as well stick with analogs.

E cigs just like regular analogs become a personal preference. One person may like one brand and another think the same brand is crap lol.

I for one am very very very happy with my Sidesho from Modern Vapor. I was a 'just under a pack a day' smoker and the Sidesho gave me the perfect alternative. Plus they have such great customer service and very fast shipping and stand by their product 100%.

But again it's about preference. I've tried my husband's Joye 510 manual. The hit was too much for me and I honestly found the manual battery kinda awkward and not natural feeling like an analog/auto alternative.

You may just have to be like the many starters on these forums - try a few different models to find the one that's right for you :) - Good luck!
