I have been using the same Go-go batteries since April. Last week, a shorted charger that suddenly decided to spit it's pin insulator out, took one of my Go-gos with it. I promptly ordered a new replacement for it, and used an 18650 mod as a stand in. Love the 18650 batteries and also have two new Panasonics to replace the original. Also, out of what must have been Sudden Battery Death Trauma (SBDT), I also ordered a KGO kit, to fill this hole left by the missing Go-go, thinking that it's partner might be getting tired. No sign, other than that I have been using LR/DC cartos on it for a few months by now as well.
The GG has 1300mah battery while the KGO has 1100's and if it performs just nearly as well as the GG does, I will be happy at least with it.
Anybody else out there used (not so much review tested but actually used) two of them for a side-by-side? Why do I like the GG over my VV mods? Is it just my imagination that it hits really good almost right down to the flashing light? Will the KGO also do this? I don't weigh too much on the actual switch or connector/case as much as I might the actual batteries that are in these devices. The 1300 in the GG sure must be a good one to keep performing like it has on what has to have been a couple hundred charges by now.
Also, while I am at it, is the EGO clone that uses the 18650 battery that much better than the KGO or GG just for the fact that the mah rating is nearly doubled, or do you think there is a sweet spot with regards to efficiency/size that may not always favor the larger batteries? I have been beyond the gadget amusement stage of hardware for quite some time and the fact that I can roll fog with a smaller device, that is pretty much indestructible, weatherproof, somewhat stealthy by comparison, amuses me more, just for the fact of it's simplicity in use and that I don't care if it gets beat up etc.
I know these topics have probably been covered ad nauseum, but it is further along and more people have been using these devices for longer etc and thought it may be helpful and interesting with the test of time and with tanks and such having evolved some as well.
