What to put on my Provari vv

I am new to vaping. I bought a Provari variable voltage starter kit that came with a Kanger glass tank (still not sure whether this is a clearomizer or atomizer or something else). I used it for about a week then dropped the tank part in the sink shattering the glass. While I kind of liked the vape and was starting to get the hang of it, I really don't get how it works or what all the parts are and I'm not totally sure I filled it right or used the right voltage. I've been lurking here for about a month and found all the info helpful, but all the posts assume you know something or are using a computer where all the acronyms are viewable when mousing over them, not apparently compatible with a tablet. I read the user manual for all the Provari and the Kanger website info as well as a bunch of posts in various forums, but I'm still not sure what else can go on the Provari. The cartomizers looked nice and easy but I'm not sure if the cartomizers go on the Provari or if I must have something else.

So my question is, I must replace the Kanger thing...what would you replace it with? Assume I don't want to build something or replace coils ( not sure what that is either really). I just want something simple I can fill and vape. Don't worry about price. I would like a couple of the tanks so I could change juice without cleaning the whole thing.

sure, I'm more than a little lazy, but in order for this to replace cigarettes, it needs to be easy as pulling it out and vaping. I don't like the box shaped ones and I tried the blu e-cig, but it was definitely not a replacement for cigarettes. It was ok in a pinch, when I needed a hold over til I could get where I could smoke. I liked the Provari til I broke the tank, but it was a hassle to change juice and would not have traveled easily. I can see that many people clearly enjoy this as a hobby, but I just want to pull something out of my pocket and use it. So far I've just managed to get frustrated...please help! Any assistance or suggestions are welcome and I thank you in advance :)

I've only been into this for about 6 weeks myself but I've been using the Protank (Clearo) (Kanger glass tank) for most of the time I've been vaping. I just picked up some EVOD tanks that I love to use with my Vision Spinner. You might try some of those, they are cheap, about $6 to $7 each and they are very similar to the Protank. I have 2 Provari vv on order awating arrival. How do you like them? Ease of use?

The below link should be very helpful to help you learn about juice delivery attachments.

Proper Terminology: Is it a carto, a tank, or what? A Primer on Juice Attachments

The Kanger Protank is considered a clearomizer, or clearotank. It belongs to a class of juice attachments which use string wicks to feed e-liquid to the coil heads.

There are other clearomizers known by different brand and model names, and can be further broken down into top coil and bottom coil clearomizers.

  • Top Coil: Innokin iclear 16 & 30, Vision Vivi Nova (filled from the top/warmer vape)
  • Bottom Coil: Kanger Evod and Protanks (filled from the bottom upside down/cooler vape)

Cartomizers and cartotanks are another class of juice attachments. Cartomizers are metal tubes filled with polyfill which acts as the wick material, with the heating coils embedded within it. These can be used alone, or put into cartotanks.

There are also atomizers, which initially look like a cartomizer, but contain no filler material within the tubes. A few drops of juice are dropped into the cylinder at a time, which much be repeated after several puffs are taken.

YOUTUBE will become your closest friend to learn how all of these devices work, how you use and clean them, and how to replace the coil heads/cartomizers in the tanks.

Here is an excellent blog by Baditude

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-carto-tank-what-guide-juice-attachments.html

this will also help with terminology

I also use a cheap plastic colander when I am washing out my tanks as it helps from losing parts down the drain and breakage

I've personally tried nearly all of the current juice attachments, and my favorite are cartotanks for best flavor and vapor. However they have a slightly more difficult learning curve than do clearomizers, and you did mention you wanted something easy (at least at first).

I also use the Kanger Protank and the Innokin iClear 30 clearomizers. I prefer the iClear 30 because it is easier to fill (top fill), has a larger juice capacity, uses two dual top coils and 16 string wicks for flavor nearly as good as my cartotanks. The Kanger Protank is pyrex glass (a plus unless you break it), but is bottom fill (need to remove from the mod, turn it upside down to fill it), and IMHO mutes many flavors.

You can use any delivery device with a 510 connection on the Provari or with the addition of an ego to 510 adapter any 510 or ego threaded delivery device will work.
That means any juice holder/topper/delivery device/tank/clearo/carto that says 510 in the description will work without an adapter, or with an adapter any juice holder thingy that says ego threaded will work.

Vaping is not a hobby for me, to completely replace my cigarette habit there was a learning curve to find what worked best for me.
Most folks experiment with several different delivery devices before they find a few they like.
Everything will need filling & cleaning, coils/heads & carto's & attys need to be replaced occasionally, routine maintenance will help things work / last longer.

I use carto tanks, other than properly priming a new carto every 5 - 10 days all I do is fill and vape.

Well it seems like you originally had a kanger Pro Tank, and i have always loved the pro tank since the first day it came out so i may actually direct you to buying another one of those in replacement if your looking for a cheap tank. I have also had amazing luck with electronicstix.com's J-Tank. An 18$ carto tank that has taken falls, tosses, and pounds like no other yet has managed to stay in one piece. Both are farely easy to use/maintain and vape great. Hope this helps a little,
Nate

"it needs to be easy as pulling it out and vaping" This is probably not going to happen. But, it will feel like it once you get used to everything and put in a little effort.

Keep in mind the glass on the Protank is only replaceble if it is not a version 1. 2 and 3 have replacable glass. I'm not sure how to tell what version you have as I've only had the Protank 1. The Protank is about as user friendly and easy as it gets. Get a few so that you have flavor options. Cleaning your tank and coil to change flavors is a pain. Get lots of replacement coils heads. They burn out. Getting anywhere from a couple of days to weeks per a coil head is normal. Watch some Youtube videos on the Protank so you know how to use and care for it. It'll all become second nature after a short time.

As far as acronyms goes. Too many people use them without thought. I almost think they shouldn't be allowed in the New Members Forum. This is all confusing enough when one is just getting started.

I hope I helped a little and welcome to ECF.
