My wife and I ordered a Health E-Cig set from dealextreme out of curiosity. We love it, but neither of us want the nicotine (she quit smoking about 5 years ago but has never lost the urge to "smoke", nicotine or not). It came with 10 refills that all contain nicotine - I kind of doubt it, but are these refillable?

Anyway, ultimately she wants something that looks and feels mostly like a normal cigarette, along with some recommendations for good nicotine-free refill fluid. She doesn't need anything heavy-duty or a lot of cartridges (if they can be refilled) as it would be for a recreational "dessert" smoke.

I've spent all morning looking at sites like puresmoker but I am just overwhelmed. It bears mentioning that we are on a tight budget, so the cheapest route is the best, but I am open to all information and suggestions. Thank you in advance for any advice or help!

Yes they are refillable and for cost purposes when the inside of your cartridges go bye bye, you can buy a BUNCH of replacement fibers at Walmart for dirt cheap. You can buy juices from HIGH to NO level nicotine. I would suggest you get a 901, personally I like the one I got from thesmokelessshop.com but it is up to you.

Thank you for the quick replies and links. From what I can tell, the 901 is not normal cigarette dimensions, right? Not a big deal, but that was part of the appeal of the Health E-Cig version. If we do go 901, does anyone know the cheapest way to get it? Since we don't want the nicotine, most of the starter sets wouldn't work for us.

From what I can tell, we would need:
901 battery
901 charger
set of refillable 901 cartridges
901 atomizer
0 nic e-juice

Is this right?

The 901 is not really "normal". The tip is like a swisher sweet cigar and of course heavier but about the same length as a 100 analog. I suggested the starter pack from thesmokelessshop because it comes with what you need as far as a starter pack You get I think 3 batteries 2 atomizers 10 carts some liquid usb charger and wall charger. I think you can select the juice strength and flavor.

If you're happy with the Health and want to stick with it, you either need 'blank' cartridges for filling or as mentioned refill your existing cartridges with 'blank' fiber and zero nic juice. You can wash the filter material in your existing carts but it can only be re-used about 4 times.

I don't know of any sellers for Health ecig blank carts.

Here is a thread about replacing the filter material in your existing carts:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tips-tricks/4926-re-stuffed-carts-working-very-well.html

If you decide to get different ecigs but don't like the longer 901 there is a smaller style generally called a super-mini that is probably close to Health ecig size. Many of the USA sellers stock this.

If the most important thing to you is that your e-cig look and feel like a real cigarette, and you're not a heavy user, I think the super mini (89mm) is the way to go. Do not order from epuffer! I got a kit from Vaporguys (2 atomizers, 2 batteries, 1 charger) that is working pretty well. The kit (49.95, i think) includes 5 nicotine carts, but if you order over the phone you may be able to get them to replace that with zero-nicotine carts. if not, you can just empty and restuff/refill them (order extra carts for the meantime, as well as some zero nic liquid for refills/topping off). The super mini definitely has a shorter cartridge and battery life than the 901 or penstyle, but the look and feel is as close to an analog as you're going to get. Given the limited use you'll probably give it, I think it's probably ideal for the occasional dessert/post-meal treat.

Looks like thesmokelessshop is out of stock right now. I emailed windowsbeadwork to see what my options are and they don't have any 0 nic juice currently in stock. Aside from the 901, does anyone else have any recommendations. It's looking like I might be better off buying separate pieces to go the 0 nic route, so any suggestions for the best place to buy all the parts are appreciated.

Just saw your post. This is really good information - thank you! I'm looking into it now.

The super-mini is sold at a number of different vendors under different names.. here are a few that I've found for ya. ^.^

PureSmoker.com - Your #1 Source For PV's, Parts, & Accessories!
Super 10cm Electonic Cigarette Starter Kit - $59.99
The Liberation Jr. Classic eCigarette

Bear in mind that PureSmoker is currently moving their facilities, and may be slow to ship until they've sorted everything out. Other than that, they get awesome reviews here on the forum, and I love them to bits! ^.^

Smoke Liberation is waiting on their e-liquid shipment, and it looks like they only stock 0-nicotine liquid on request.

Totally Wicked's only downside in my opinion, is that their liquid is only available in 30ml bottles.

Hope that helps!

[EDIT] Oh! And I think you can edit your posts once you've made fifteen posts. :)

Sadie-
Thank you for the information. I'm now leaning towards puresmoker for price and (as you mention) the fact that they seem to have a very good reputation. Their site appears to be broken right now, so I can't see if they have "Pee Wee" cartridges with 0 nicotine or place an order.

I'm still confused about some things, but as I read more I'm starting to become more clear on a lot of this. One thing I'm still confused about though - If I were to order either the 901 or Pee Wee/Super Mini starter kit that has five cartridges, could I also order some 0 nicotine fluid, empty the cartridges of nicotine and refill them easily?

Absolutely. You can just rinse the filler and the cartridge, drop some 0 nic fluid in the cartridge and a little on the filler once you've placed it back, and you're ready to vape!

One quick note--you may want to check on the size of the "pee wee" super mini. The name "super mini" means different things to different vendors. The one that is the same size as a cigarette measures 89 mm. I think the model number is 4184, but am not completely sure about that. 89 mm is the same size as a regular analog (e.g., Marlboro red). I've seen pee wees on some sites that are quite a bit larger (which is not bad if you're used to smoking 100s, I guess).

I'm so excited! I wish I could find one place that had all the things I need so I don't have to place orders all over the place. Everyone seems to be out of either the starter sets or 0 nic fluid - no one has both...

PureSmoker's website runs live.. and sometimes when they are out of stock, instead of saying it outright, the options just disappear from the drop-down boxes. So it looks like they're out of stock on the PeeWee cartridges right now. :(

Totally Wicked has the starter kit, empty cartridges, and 0-nicotine cartridges/juice in stock from the looks of their website. :)

Here's a video review done by igetcha69 on the RN4081 (The model number of the PeeWee, Liberation Jr., and Totally Wicked Super E-Cig 10cm), just to give you an idea about the size of the device. :)

Wow - Sadie, you have given me a ton of great information. I'm still torn between the "cigarette" look of the Pee Wee/Super Mini and the 901 (which seems to have a good reputation). I think if I go the 901 route I can stay around $50 ($43 shipped from widowsbeads and then a $10 bottle of 0 nic juice from somewhere), which was kind of our limit.

Glad I could help!

I haven't actually tried any of them yet.. still waiting for the mailman to pay me a visit. But it definitely seems like the 901 is a favourite around here! And if you get it, like vapeing, and just want something that looks more like a cigarette, then you could always order something else later. Or you might find that you love the 901 as much as everyone else does! :)
