Check my blogs for my carto swap method. I can do it with a full tank and no tools, and prime when out and about if necessary. But you are correct, almost not necessary as cartos dont just fizzle out quick like clearo heads, they tend to have a slow death so you can plan it pretty well.

I'll check it out. I can swap cartos with a full tank. I do that a lot for hubby. Heaven forbid I lose a drop of his precious all day vape as I maintain all his equipment. His all day vape is also the darkest, coil slaying, liquid I have ever come across, so I swap his cartos often. It's the priming part that takes the time for me.

what you want is reasonable but I don't think it exists - closest I have come is simple IGO-L for dripping and kayfun lite for 3ml out and about.

I build micro coils and use cotton. Sometimes simpler is better and IGO-L is pretty simple and only $10.50 a piece.

It does take work - daily cleaning/new cotton wick/burn quench coil or replace coil. I just stack up a few and do them all at once. Even daily heavy use I typically get 1 month on a coil - probably because I use 28 gauge and clean/burn daily.

Some day - I've been waiting since 2009 for the bullet proof liquid dispenser - some day.

I have to say any rebuildable set up will give you the most consistency. I include even Protanks and such in there, as long as you rebuild them to your liking. I use RDAs and once I have a coil I like REplace the cotton when needed and it's good for quite a while. I don't suggest you jump into RDAs though unless you're willing to learn what is needed to do it safely.

Kayfun L+ has been the best for me. It seems odd to say that a rebuildable has been the most fiddle free topper, but it definitely has been. Once you get a good coil build figured out you can just fill and vape, over and over. A quick dry burn and rewick and you are back in business for a good long time. Gurgles or dry hits are extremely rare for me, at least (and easy to figure out when and why they happen). Leaks (again, for me) are non existent.

My first ecig experience was cartos, then carto tanks. They are good, but not trouble free. I tried some other stuff out and eventually switched to protanks. I like protanks, especially with a rebuilt coil, but they are more fiddly than some. The Kayfun has, hands down! been the best. A dripper might be better, but I want the convenience of a tank.

This did not work for me at all. I bought a couple of cheap, Boge F15 cartotanks thinking I'd save a buck, and wound up with pockets full of juice more times then I care to admit. I have a nasty habit I lifting my device by the topper, and I often wound up lifting the tank right off the carto. The seal wasn't tight at all.

That is because you bought a cheap tank. With a Phiniac glass tank, they never leak and never slip. I've been using the same seals for over a year without an issue.

I've gone through the Halo Triton tanks, Kanger Protank Mini 2s, Aspire Nautilus, Igo-W, and now some Boge cartomizers, and I've had intermittent issues with all of them. I just want something that works well, and works all of the time.

What issue did you have with cartos? Maybe you just need to figure out priming cartos?

Haven't read full thread, so apologies if my reply is redundant - I prefer the iClear 30s if I'm planning on using the same liquid for a while (because its heads are a pain to clean). I also really like the Aspire Nautilus, but its heads don't clean well and look like a pain to rebuild. Fabulous vape with a new head, though.

I'm not as much of a fan of my Davide, because it is fussier about conditions, but I use it for darker, sweeter juices because the heads are a breeze to rebuild.

CE5s give a surprisingly good vape with 50% or more PG blends, but I dislike the small capacity of them, and I'm not a huge fan of high PG juices, so they don't see much use from me these days.

I haven't tried rebuildables or carto tanks yet, so my reply is limited to clearos only.

TomasUK, lol, I m just the opposite. So far in my short experience, my Aspire Davide is holding up great, nice smooth vape, no leaking...but my iClear30 is a "stuffy" draw, really got to drag on it to get a decent hit. They both work, just preferring the Davide today!!! (the way this "hobby" goes though, could change to anything in a month)

I still rate my kanger T2s ,been using them as my day time vape for for 7 months & they are always reliable & give me a consistant vape ( replacement heads are cheap also).Evenings I use my I clear 30 ,though sometime I end up with a mouthfull of juice!not pleasant!Might try a nautilas as they seem to be getting good reviews here,no real reason to buy one other than its been a while since I brought some new goodies.:)

I know. I was replying to another poster who said Boge cartos with a cheap tank. I mostly use IBTanked but I also like my Cirrus tank. I've been thinking about Phiniac for a quite a while though, and eventually I'll pull the trigger on one. Just waiting for a paycheck that I don't have to spend half of on bills. Phiniac tanks are pricey!

From what I have read, IBTanked and Phiniac are on par, although I've only used Phiniac's. They also give you an extra set of seals with each tank.

IBTanked gives extra o - rings as well. I've also read that the two are on par, but Phiniac offers more customizable options then IBTanked and as a result, they are more expensive. For plain tanks, I'd just order more from IBTanked, but from Phiniac I want one with all the bells and whistles. Frosted glass design with color and even one of their stone drip tips. I've added things to the cart before, and everything I want came to $95 in total. Yikes! It would be a treat to myself to get one. =) The Cirrus tanks are also quite nice with all the designs, but they're around $60 - $70 for the tank and end caps alone, so once you add the drip tip it's around the same as a completely custom tank from Phiniac. I was lucky to get mine during a sale.
