Using a lavatube, I run mine at 3.4 volts, but I have been wrapping the coils myself with cotton yarn, and 32ga. kanthal. Basically the same voltage I used with the stock 1.8 ohm head. For some reason, I am not a big fan of the higher ohm ones. Never even used the 2.8 ohm one....

How many wraps? 4-5? and what thickness of cotton yarn?
Im thinking of rebuilding with cotton instead of going with the Sillica.

Yeah, bumped mine back down to 4.5. Too many dry hits if you chain vape over that.

Correction, Iv got the 2.4 ohm head on there, but it measures 2.8 on my ProVari running at 4.6 volts. No dry hits so far. It seems like there is some inconsistencies here. So many different results...

I agree, thats one of the reasons I started this thread. Seemed like a good way to gather some knowledge about how they vape. I've read around the forums quite a bit, but wanted specific information to get a better feel of how the Vivi performs. Thanks for all your replies, and please, keep them coming.

3.8 volts from my spinner to a 1.8 ohm head.
4.3 volts to the 2.4 ohm head in my mini nova.

I've heard about dry hits but haven't had any so far. The only time I have problems is after cleaning everything. I try to pat dry, blow out and dry burn.. still have a bunch of dead or gurgly hits for a while until the juice can get flowing again. My experiences so far.

You're not getting enough water out of the wick. Instead of patting it dry, pinch the wick with the paper towel. BE CAREFUL not to pull it, just pinch it and move to another dry spot on the towel, pinch and repeat. Doing it this way will bring your coil to red quicker than try to evap all the water with the coil.
