Hi Rich. I have the Nautilus Mini and I vape it in the range of 3.3 to 5.0 volts. I am using a regulated mod, the iStick 50W. I usually have it set on Wattage and vape between 9W bakery, and 12W fruits. Because it is regulated it adjusts the voltage accordingly to where I set the wattage. 3.3 volts is 9W and 5.0 is 12W. I don't know how accurate it is or the battery/mod you are using but it is what works for me.

The way to find the sweet spot is to start low, take a small hit, up it a little and take another. Keep doing this until the vape gets too warm or starts to taste burnt. If it tastes burnt, back it down.

As far as VG, it is one of the products in the base of e juice. Vegetable Glycerin. There is a search box at the top right corner of every page that is keyword activated. VG works, as does PG- the other half of e juice base. VG is the vapor producer in vape and is a little sweet. PG is the flavor carrier and is good for throat hit.

Good luck in your vape journey.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here!:)

My juice is a bottle of standard mixed with a bottle of heavy VG.. I dont even know what VG means.

PG = Propylene Glycol - the "flavor carrier" of e-liquid. A secondary source of "throat hit", but not as strong as the nicotine concentration. Some people have a sensitivity or even an allergy to PG. It's very thin.

VG = Vegetable Glycerin - the "vapor maker" of e-liquid. Used as a sweeter in many food sources, and also as a skin emollient. It's very thick.

PG and VG are often used together in different ratios in e-liquid. For example, a 50/50 PG/VG ratio. Some juice vendors offer a range of different ratios as far as PG/VG.

And my throat always burns.. Sometimes taste like burnt paper

If you are getting a burnt taste (we call those "dry hits"), if usually means your wick cannot pull the eliquid fast enough to keep up with your battery. There are a couple of things you can do:

1. Dial down your voltage or wattage. This will vaporize the eliquid at a slower rate (if your battery allows you to do this)
2. Decrease the airflow, if your tank has adjustable airflow. The decrease in airflow will increase vacuum inside the tank's atomizer, which should increase the flow of juice to the wick..
3. Take a sharp draw (or two) on your drip tip (without engaging your battery). This will pull more eliquid into the coil so that it will be available when you press the battery button and take a draw.

You will get the feel of this over time and develop a sense of how often you will need to do this to avoid "dry hits". The PG/VG ratio of your eliquid also comes into play, as VG is thicker than PG . If you use high VG try adding a few drops of distilled water (per mls of juice) to your tank to thin out the eliquid.

The high VG is most likely the culprit. You may want to try a 50/50 PG/VG blend the next time that you order. Another way to get juice to the coil quickly is to remove your drip tip and drip several drops down the air tube. That will send juice straight to the coil and works well. It could be a PITA to do all of the time but, may help you for now.

Hang in there and Good luck!
