Hi all, brand new to this forum and have a question if i may....

I just bought the kanger subtank nano for my istick 30w and it is truly awesome.....

I started vaping my five pawns 6mg nic at like 12W and went all the way up in increments to about 25W

I found that the vape and flavor was similar no matter what the watts in that range, is that normal?

What is the advantage of vaping at higher watts, when i was satisfied with my 0.5 ohm coil at like 12 watts?

Any advice on what the "sweet spot" for the kanger nano on the istick 30w is, and if im missing something here??

Thanks in advance and vape on!

I also love my kanger nano on my istick30. But compared to dripping, I get a lot more flavor change with different wattage on my RDA then in my tank.

I agree with the others that everyone is different with finding a sweet spot. But I also find that every juice has their own sweet spot for each person. I haven't vaped any of the 5 pawns yet (little to pricey for me at the moment) but some juice I find the flavor doesn't change too much with wattage changes. But with others it's a whole new flavor experience between say 15 and 25. I find the flavor experiences can change more dramatically with different wattage depending on the pg/vg level and the flavor group (ex: tobacco vs. fruity vs. dessert) or with the complexity of the flavors in the eliquid, as well as the steeping time it has gone through.

One top of all of my rambling there is also the note to remember that everyone's taste buds are different. If you are recently off of cigarettes your tongue my not have recovered to its full potential yet which could be another reason you have a hard time differentiating the change in flavor vs. wattage. I would experiment with different brand and flavor profiles in your knager nano and see if you can tell a difference.

Totally agree with dragoncat. I am running the same set up with an istick 50 as a back up. It depends do you like a cooler vape or hotter? Each flavor has its own spot too tho, for some i like 12-14 range and others need 15-20. I perfer a cooler vape though cuz here in Chicago its mighty humid and i find it refreshing. Give it around two weeks off of analogs and your tastebuds and sense of smell will be overwhelming for you.. they were for me perfume i wore for years irritaed me to the point that i would get a nasty headache.. it has since adjusted although there are still days that every smell annoys me.

i tend to run my kangers with .5 ohm coils around 18-22 watts, depending on the juice... though I recently got one of the kanger subox kits with the new vertical .5 ohm coil and have been running that at 35 watts... dragoncat, vpr4me are spot on - really all about finding your sweet spot (and staying in safe range for device/ atty)

+1 to all above
Running Kbox w/ST Mini as my "Outside/Yard Work Rig" and a SubBox Mini Kit on the way as an "Out & About" Back-up.
I run the .5 Coils at 25-30W depending on Juice (type & viscocity).
Find it quite enjoyable and satisfying even compared to my ADV Mech Mods w/RDAs Equipment.

you should have noticed a difference in temperature of the vape.
25w will be a warmer vape than 12w

Hmmm, and I thought it was just me. I picked up a nano a couple of weeks ago along with a Sig 50, for a carry rig. Right away I set it at 15 watts like I had been with my subtank mini on my Sig 150. Hit well and I was happy, I dialed down the watts on the Sig 50 to nine watts and it still hit the same, went all the way down to the minimum for the Sig 50, seven watts and I truly do not notice a difference in taste or vapor.

Thanks for this pauly yea precicely! Funilly enough I went from a nautilus mini to the kanger sub-tank and wow what a difference. I though the mini was good but actually I found it to have a metallic taste no matter how much I cleaned it or what temp I vaped At
To me the kanger was a huge step up. And yea 10w or25w on the nano. Equal yummyness on the juice. Just hotter at higher watts

I can tell the Diff in Taste (and not simply due to changes in Temp/Heat) between 15 & 30 and Up W on the ST Mini running the .5 OCC.
Honestly doubt if Psychosomatic.
Could the differing experiences we all are having with the ST be attributed to differences in Juice Mix & Flavors themselves?
I use 50/50 18 nic in varying Fruit Flavors and again, know I can tell the difference in taste/flavor between 15 & 30+ Watts.
Just a thought.

Wow Hitcat, 18mg nicotine at 30W?! isnt that a really heavy throat hit and headache type buzz? how many ml of juice do you go through per day on that nic level, just out of interest? I found any nic higher than 6mg on the kanger to be unvapable. (maybe im just a lightweight) but i was smoking a pack a day until a month ago

I suppose that ain't the "Norm" but have no negatives arising (headaches, burnt throat or tongue, nausea, delusional Trips, no knocking-off Liquor Stores or seeing Leprechauns at the Walmart, etc) as a result thereof.
I now mostly ADV on Mech Mods and RDAs. Been doing that since switched to Mods & RDAs/RTAs about 2 years ago. Was 24 nic on ProTanks and AeroTanks using eGo type Batteries and CoolFire 1 & 2 Power Devices before that.
However, I don't Cloud Chase (I do sparingly on occasion when the mood & desire strike or when my Vape Buds give me Scheissen for being a "Sipper") so guess the lower than Norm for most amount of Vapor offsets the higher than Norm for most Nic level possibly. I Hit It often just not "heavy" (as compared to some).
I go through about 5-7ml/day I would say in total between Devices/Rigs. But don't know for sure as I usually maintain a 6 different Flavor Rotation and order in 30ml bottles. I ten split out some every couple days into smaller 10ml bottles to take with me to Drip with.

Anyways, Nope. It's All good. I do have a couple Flavors that are 12 Nic and they kick my chicken just fine. Imagine and hope eventually to get down to 6-12 on all or lose the Nic Addiction once and for all. Progress NOT Perfection right?

Backstory,,, 3yr 2+ PAD smoker, now reformed Heathen and Vaper Enthusiast for 4 yrs.
Also, rumored to be either borderline Clinically Insane or at the very least Abnormally Challenged & Afflicted depending on who you ask and how much they know. Speaking of, don't bother asking the Leprechaun at the Walmart-He's a Liar and will also tell you to burn things....

P.s. The way I see it, They don't charge more cash for more Nic. So, I can get more Bang from the same Buck and just vary the heaviness in which I Steam-Roll accordingly.
Besides as I said, I gots Issues. If some is Good-More is AWESOME.
