The V.1 L-rider Lavatubes will let you select a higher voltage than they can put out, but they are limited to 2.5 amps internally. They will fire your device, but will automatically limit the current (without telling you).

I do what Grimm suggests, and just leave the thing set at 6 volts all the time- that way, you're always getting the most out of it...although these days, the modded chrome varitube and my Bolt get most of the non-hybrid action. ;)

Doing this will not always give you the greatest vape though. I find if you use an Ohms law calculator and find out the highest you can set the LT at for the ohms of the coil and dial it back to the voltage, or .1 under, it's normally better than letting the LT do it for you.

But to keep on topic, 10-11W on my YJ v2 (4v @ 1.6ohm)

............... Luve ma DUD!!

2.9 ohms at 4 volts for a whopping 5.5 watts. I'm using the Young June unit and a dud with a cotton wick, 70/30 pg to vg @ ~12 mg, and strong tobacco flavors. Long, slow draws, and vapor volume looks about the same as a ciggy.

I could go a little higher on wattage, but get it too high and this juice goes from good to old sweaty sock in a heart beat lol.

And yep, Luve ma DUD!! :vapor:
