What will my mailman do????

Sooo..placed an order with Giant Vapes the other day. This is my 2nd order. Last time the mailman just left the box on my porch. Fine by me since I'm gone all day. Today, instead of leaving the package, he left nothing!

The tracking says that a notice was left and that if I sign it, he can leave it. But I looked all over the place, and there is absolutely NOT a notice laying or sticking anywhere.

I went to the USPS website and scheduled a re-delivery for tomorrow. I'm going to leave a note for my mailman. The note will contain the tracking number and confirmation number of the redeliver request along with a polite request to leave the box followed by my signature.

Do you all think this will work?

probably not but if you have a safe spot for packaged to be left at you can let you're post office know and they will let the regular carrier know that does you're route.

Call your local USPS office when they open and ask them if they'll pull your package and allow you to come pick it up and sign. I've been doing this the past few weeks and my local office has no issue at all as it's one less package on the route. Just bring your ID and make sure it matches the address the package is being shipped to. If it doesn't you'll need your ID and a utility bill with that address and your name on it to verify you are who you are.

This is just one way to get the package to you without having to worry about notes. The reason notes don't work: anyone can leave one.

Yeah if my mail person doesn't leave it the first try(just random) I have to go pick it up.

Ask a neighbor to sign for it since mail carrier does not care who signs just that someone signs.

i had this happen once on a day my mail man was off, and another one was here. she said she left the tracking notice, but didn't. the next day the good mail man actually brought it. I did get my package a few days later than i anticipated, but all was well, the off day mail lady just sucks. Hope you get yours quick!

Thanks, all. I am leaving a note today since I have no other choice. I won't be able to get to the post office today. If they actually leave me a notice today I will call in the morning and have them hold it for me. We will see what happens!

Happy to report...my mail carrier did leave the package today and I am happily vaping on Derp Sauce "R Y U No 4?" that I ordered from Giant Vapes. Hooray!!!!
