What would be my ultimate setup?

While my finances do not allow me to spend very much on my vaping hobby (I hate calling it a "habit" and I have been very blessed by some very generous friends and ECF members who have donated equipment and juice to help me get going), I want to start trying to save a little here and a little there for my "ultimate" setup.

Rebuilding is not an option for me, I have neuropathy in my hands and carpal tunnel, I simply do not have the fine motor skills for rebuilding, so that said I will likely always use some sort of tank.

I do not like box style devices (just for aesthetic reasons, I know they can be amazing). My device needs to be smallish and not too heavy.

Links and prices would really be appreciated. It might be a LONG time before I can afford it, but I want to know what to shoot for!

Sorry responded with a box, then re reread and realized you didnt want one. I love my carto tank, and you can get an x8 or agr carto tank for about 10-15. Then pack of Boge LR cartos 5-10. Then a Vision Spinner or Ego twist and charger another 30

This is of course discounting the ability to rebuild, and keeping it cheap. If i had to start over, or couldnt rebuild i honestly think something like this would be more than enough to keep me going. (used strictly a carto tank setup for almost a year before i started rebuilding)

I think the cheapest and best vape would be something along the lines of a carto tank setup with Boge LR laser drilled cartos, and an itaste MVP. Probably looking at 60-70, even with a nice pyrex carto tank maybe 80-90 tops

An MVP is a box style device though. :( I know they work great, but I just like the look and style of a tube style device.

Well, Ok I guess. But the more you do this the more you get tired of managing batteries and dragging spares around with you. The MVP frees you from that. :D But understood!

So what do you currently use now?

If we're talking ultimate as far as the dream build that you save up for, as opposed to what fits into your current tight budget, I'd say it sounds like you're going to be a Provari with cartotanks kind of gal. I've never used the cartos (I'm a Kayfun guy, but that's rebuildable, so it sounds like it's out for you) but I believe many here are big fans of the IBTanked ones. Basically, it's a glass tank that you put a standard cartomizer into and then fill with your juice. Supposed to be the best flavor you can get without rebuilding. And of course, the Provari is the reigning champion of variable power devices.

What kind of gear are you using now?

As far as prices, the Provari is $175, and once you add a couple of batteries to that, you should be planning for about $200 (but this device will last for years without any issues whatsoever). The site is www.provape.com.

The IBTanked cartotank will be about $30 (and you may want a couple so you can keep a few different flavors loaded up to easily swap between) at www.ibtanked.com.

With the tank, you'll also use cartomizers - these are consumables that will last for a couple of weeks and then be replaced with fresh ones. They're about $2 each and you can find them all over the place.

Hope that helps!

Right now I mostly use evod batteries, aspire bdc tanks, and for giggles because I found it in a local vape show super cheap I have a Kamry X6 which is a little cheap variable voltage battery. Tomorrow through the kindness of an ECF member (shoutout to 2naphish!) I have a Caravela clone mech coming. I plan on getting a Kanger Aerotank for it because they are relatively inexpensive. Saving for the batteries for it now. I really wanted to try a mech as I have a couple vaping mentors that use them and so I have been schooled on battery safety, etc. I have vaped from a mech with an Aspire Nautilus tank and LOVED it, so much of a nicer vape then what I use, but I like the airflow control better on the Aerotank and they are cheaper, unfortunately price is always a factor with me. I know everyone talks about a Provari, and I know it comes in a mini which would be great for me. Would that be my ultimate? Or is there something better. I do want to consider price, but this would be the setup I saved for and would likely be my primary vaping setup for the forseeable future after that. I can't afford to buy everything I want, which sucks because I KNOW I would be a collector if I could! I would buy some mechs just because I love the way they look (Celtic Tree of Life mech is an example, if I could I would totally get it just because it has the tree of life on it. My old cigarette case was silver with a tree of life, I use it to hold money and my drivers license now, lol)

If I did save for the Provari would my Aerotank still serve me pretty well? I would likely want to still get one or two more tanks so I could switch flavors. Like I said, I am looking for my ultimate setup that would last me awhile. Not necessarily super cheap as this would be something I would be saving for.

Thanks for the suggestions that I have gotten already!

The Aero will work great on a Provari. And (this is just my opinion, but you'll see MANY people here who agree with it) yes, it's the ultimate. I also edited my post above to add prices and links for you while you were typing this post, so make sure you check it again.

Also, I have a Nautilus and a few spare coils that I don't use anymore that I'd be happy to send you. If you'll PM me your address, I'll clean it up, mail it to you, and earn some good karma points.

I wouldn't steer you wrong, and I believe a Provari would be your ultimate setup with just about any juice attachment on top. I have 10 mods (regulated and mechanical). Three of these are Provari's, and they get 90% of my daily attention. The others are collecting dust.

The Provari is built to be every bit as durable as any mechanical mod. It's made in America. It comes with a 1 year warranty. After warranty, it can still be repaired for life for very reasonable fees. It will be reliable, dependable, and durable. I encourage you to read my blog on the Provari, and read the links at the end which are testamonies of Provari owners.

Well, I was all set to recommend the eVic Supreme to you as a definite premier vaping device, but it may be a bit too heavy for your needs.

Then again, you might just decide you're flexible on your desired weight when you try one out. It really is an exquisite vaping device. When I first got mine, it immediately reminded me of the first time I drove a new BMW. The service dept. guys at the BMW dealership hated the sales reps, saying that sales were too easy. "They don't need to talk someone into buying one. All you need to do is give them a test drive, and that's all it takes. They're sold for life."

I posted a brief, early review of my eVic-S here. The eVic Supreme package includes a Sony 18650 VTC5 2100mAh battery, pass-through charging cable and wall adapter, and its MSRP of $159 - which is about the only price for it you'll find for a while - will hopefully be coming down a bit some time in the future.

Find a local B&M that carries the eVic Supreme. Hold it in your hand and check out the build quality and features. And DON'T confuse the original eVic with the Supreme. I've never had an original eVic, but they are like night and day from what I've heard.

I'm getting a Kayfun clone (probably an FT) in a couple of weeks. If I like it as much as others have, then the Kayfun + eVic-S will likely be my ultimate vaping rig.

I bought my eVic-S from Sweet-Vapes for $159.

The Kayfun clone I want is this one from FastTech for $24.38, but if you'll eventually be looking for an ultimate, damn-the-price topper to go with your ultimate mod, then you might prefer the actual SvoëMesto branded one for $100 to $175, depending on model.

Best wishes on making your dreams come true. :)
