As it stands, I have a few igo-l RDAs coming. Most likely will be using those at home and using rewicked protanks for work and bar and such. I am thinking the micro/cotton build sounds awesome so I will be going with that for protank heads. What about the igos? Should I stick with that for those as well or do "normal" coils with silica?

Just curious as I will be ordering wire in next few days.

I don't know if I'm an expert, but the general rule of thumb is:

Do whatever works for you! One of the many great things about rebuildables is there really isn't any "right" way to do it.

Not an expert by any means here, but everyone seems to be saying to stick with micro coil with cotton.

There seems to be some debate about kanthal or nichrome, and which awg to get, but still micro with cotton.

Mech for igo and and vv if ohms are high enough on protanks. My mvp is will be my work/bar mod

No expert either but I know what works better than ever, for me.

I am going to suggest you absolutely roll up a micro for the IGO-L, and widen the airhole if it's still stock.

I am also going to suggest, because you said the RDAs were going to stay at home, give cotton a try. Yeah you can't dry burn it but it's super easy to swap out and it's almost free. For me the taste of my juice with cotton is unparalleled so far.

I prefer(red) Nextel in my drippers.. when I used em, because they went everywhere with me. Nextel moves a lot of liquid, and it's (literally) impossible to burn it with a coil. I let the IGO hold most of the juice in its well and the Nextel brings it up to the coil.

im all about cotton its easy to just pull the old wick out and slide a new one in which also makes it easy for switching flavors. so much less fiddling and flavor mixing

ps i am no expert i just have strong opinions i believe are superior to everyone elses. just kidding
