Gonna be hitting up the ebay for wire and wick as my fasttech order containing rdas have left hong kong. Being as cheap as it is for 50ft I was going to get a couple different sizes. Maybe 28, 30, and 32 kanthal to experiment with. Does that sound sufficent for protank/t3 head rebuilds and igo-l rebuilds?

As for wick, I'm a bit unsure of sizes and the like. Was thinking about going cotton in the heads and silica in the drippers. What would be a good diameter in those? How much should I get? Should I go different materials?

I'm anxious but excited to start rebuilding. Just want to have all bases covered!

Thanks!

For protanks/t3s, check the micro coil thread. Those work out to the perfect size for protanks. All my protanks rock them. For that purpose, 30g should suit you just fine, though use 32g if you want higher resistance.

Cotton wick works great for them, but silica is good too. Can't really go wrong with any wick material in the toppers you mentioned.

What pv are you going to be running these on?
That will determine which gauge of wire you'll want.

With Silica you'd want 2.5 - 3 mm

Cotton is awesome flavor and vapor wise but needs to be replaced more often
Plus there are several types of cotton, yarn, balls, and cheesecloth seem to be favorites.

I use 28 gauge for mechanicals and 30 or higher for variable voltage mods. As for wicks Im in love with cotton. It's trickier to use than silica but so much better at wicking holding juice and staying cooler than silica imo. Also I think it tastes better. I use peaches n creme yarn from walmart. Unbleached and boiled twice for atleast 10 minutes each.

Picking up multimeter tonight. As for shorts, I believe my mvp has circuit protection so it shouldn't fire if there is a short....

.... am I correct in that?

Yes it does. My recommendation is 30awg microcoil for protons get at least 13 wraps. For the droplets I like 12 wraps of 26awg. Cotton is the only way to go with drippers IMHO like said before just experiment and find your perfect vape cheers!

What are the ohm averages on those builds?
