Soo the hubs said when our tax return comes in I could get a "big girl mod". It started when he saw me eyeing a Provari this weekend... Now before this was stated I had been looking at the itaste mvp and also the vmod and have been waiting for a sale before purchasing... Considering the price of the Provari compared to the other two, I could either get one Provari or both the mvp and vmod...

What would you do? Would you buy the cheaper two so you could have two new toys or just take the plunge and order the provari?

Well so far I have 900 mah manual and auto SI x2 batteries as well as their new VV spinner and a little 650 eGo. Since getting my VV I have pretty much been neglecting my other batts and only use them when the VV is charging. So I'm thinking VV is the way to go.

Thanks for throwing the Vamo into my options, now I'm even more conflicted on what to get lol.

I love my Provari no doubt about it, but at the same time my iTaste MVP is awesome. It has threads for just about anything you can put on it, the 2600 MaH battery last inanely long I mean insanely long its almost unreal. Also if you are ever stuck in a horror movie type situation and your phone dies but need help before the axe murderer chops you up well the iTaste MVP can charge your phone real quick so you can escape certain death :). I am a provari fan boy definitely but I would take a long look at the iTaste and for the price and what accessories you could get to add up to the provari price range it is worth a look. You could get a couple clearos, vivis, tanks etc etc. Good luck with your choice, I couldn't make it thats why I have a few mods lol.

I really like my MVPs but I was eyeing the iTaste SVD that's coming out very soon because I do want a mod that I can switch batteries and it got a good review and they'll probably be about $100. Can't do that with the MVP, but what iLovesRedBull said. MVP charge lasts a looooong time. The only thing that I can't get to fit so far is an eVOD. I think I need a 510 to eGo attachment or something.

I might be admittedly biased for the Provari. Yes, it is expensive initially. But if you consider that when purchasing a Provari, that you are dealing with a manufacturer who will continue to support the device well after the 1 year warranty (option to buy an additional year at purchase) is over for already published repair fees, it is worth it for the long term investment. None of the Chinese mod manufacturers can offer that that I am aware of. Once a Chinese-manufactured device is out of warranty and needs repair/dies, you are out of luck.

Granted you can purchase 2-3 of the Chinese-manufactured mods for the price of a Provari. The question of which way to go depends upon do you want a dependable device you can count on to last long term, or go with the less expensive mods that may need to be totally replaced more often.

The Provari has an excellent reputation as a standard of excellence for a good reason, and has hundreds if not thousands of happy owners. If you can afford one, you can't go wrong if you choose it. As a happy owner, it was worth every penny.

I have a question in relation to the MVP. Doesn't it have a proprietary, non-removable battery inside of it? What is the expected overall lifetime of this battery? And can it be returned to the manufacturer (post-warranty) to replace a dead battery?

I've always questioned purchasing a device that uses one of these batteries because of the above questions. If the battery can not be replaced, then it can be considered no better than a throw away device not unlike a simple eGo battery when it dies.

I have an Silver Bullet. It is an awesome mechanical mod. I could have had mine Kicked. I chose to go with a Provari instead. With a Kicked Silver Bullet, to change the wattage on the Kick, it and the battery need to be removed each time. If you are like someone like me who changes the voltage on-the-fly for each flavor that I use (I change between 3-4 in any given day), this process would quickly become cumbersome and frustrating. The Kick is also a fragile piece of processor, which doesn't like a lot of handling.

This would not be a problem if you only use a single flavor. Just something to consider.

Hmm good question I really do not how long it's expected to last. It is a proprietary, non removable battery. The hours you get out of the battery is crazy though, I literally do not have to charge it but once a week if thats all I use to vape out of. It is good for 3000+ puffs easy on the full charge and thats 5-6 seconds puffs. I agree with everything you said about the provari, my provari is my baby and my looker lol but I have found alot of use lately for my itaste. It's cheap enough for the kit though to where I don't really worry. I mean I paid $75 i think and that came with a 30ml bottle of juice and a 5 pack of cartos at my shop so I mean I would have bought the juice and cartos anyways so really I only paid $45 for it in a sense.

I am in agreement with Baditude with the Silver Bullet. I love how durable it is, I call it the superman of PVs because you can't destroy them but I know I want VV and I don't want it to be so hands on as it would be if I put in a Kick. I just want to turn a dial or push a button, not take the whole thing apart to change the voltage.

This much I know is true, there are too many options out there lol. I'm afraid to buy one and then end up kicking myself a month later wishing I had picked up something else.

Considering nothing has been mentioned about the Vmod, I think it will be going off my list unless they end up with a crazy good deal before I make my order.

I used to carry my Provari everywhere, used it at home and away. Sometimes I wish that I had gone with the Mini Provari instead of the full extended cap version, as it is not extremely pocket-worthy, and is quite hefty.

I chose to get a Segelei/Ovale V8 variable voltage gripper-box mod to use when out-and-about. It is about the size of a pack of analogs, can easily fit in a pocket, and is extremely lightweight. It cost me only $30 from Discount Vapors. I still occasionally bring the Provari out with me, but most of the time it stays at home. The V8 is a great out-and-about mod.

I didn't like the other inexpensive variable voltage devices to carry outside the house, like the Twist or Spinner because I really dislike the length that they can become with a cartotank attached. If I could afford a Mini Provari, I would have gone with that (I might just reward myself with one, finances willing, for my one year smoke-free anniversary in April).

Right, the battery can't be replaced in an MVP. I do kind of consider it better than an eGo, even though it will be a throw away at some point, because of the longer battery life but that's why I was looking at the SVD. I *think* it's vv vw too. I haven't tried nor do I own a Provari; nothing at all against them, sometimes I'm just cheap. lol And I still like my eGo twist. :)
