How should we refer to this lizard hatchling... does it have a name :)
Well Mr Madness
A very good maddening friend came up with the classy name Gecko. Does your other half that this is a fitting name? :
We can call him "mini-me"

Can't you just hear it: "Mini-me, stop humping the lazer". (for all of you Austin Powers fans):p
Ohhhh behaaaaave!

I think Gecko is fitting... they're small resilient lizardly creatures.

But don't confuse it for Geico which could save you 15% or more on your car insurance. :)
LOL scratch that LMAO! I can never understand what kind of accent the little guy has! Its like an Australian that spent it's youth growing up in England.

Wow, Thats an impressive picture of the Gilla Monster. sure wish it had a different name though  The Komodo dragon on the other hand really lives up to it's name. Just beautiful and definitely fitting for the Gecko's big bro! Speaking of, how's yours doing?

Here's a pic of the Jaragua sphaero from our convo. It measures 1.6 centimeters.

Jaragua sphaero... very tiny lizard, if you caught a glance of it scurrying around, you'd think it was a bug its so small. But Gila Monster... c'mon... its a MONSTER... monsters are monster cool don't ya know ;)

My brother was pretty happy with his new toys last time I talked to him. The 510 premo cartos were workin for him nicely. But he lost 20 of the 50 ml of liquids i had got him while hanging out at central park (doh!). I got him an LR901 too, not sure if he's dipped into that yet. All-in-all, his new gear is a pretty good upgrade from his BluCig setup. I'll ping him for an update tomorrow to see if it's still keeping the analogs at bay. (Where does that "at bay" phrase come from anyway?)

It comes from hunting. The 'baying' is the barking of dogs. It is the trapped animal who keeps the dogs at bay--- with its antlers or whatever--- meaning it keeps them at a distance, barking but not biting.

I believe the original phrase is 'keeping the hounds at bay' and refers to the way a hunted animal, such as a fox or rabbit, will run away from its young trying to led the dogs away from the nest, in other words, keeping the hounds on its scent. They generally bay, or bark, while doing this which signals to those left at the nest that they are relatively safe, the hounds are being 'kept at bay.'
