Okey dokey, sweet!
Now the $10K question. Will the parts be interchangeable? e.g will we be able to retrofit existing Chameleons with the new mechanical switch, as the tubes seem like the same size? Notwithstanding, my lizard is 4 months plus and has seen a lot of use and the switch hasn't failed me yet, so I am not too worried.
Careful now! You don't want to jinx it like the 901! Strange concept, but proven none the less.

It
may not be interchangeable due to the significant changes in the design with reasoning of simplicity. Less moving parts...afterall

You have no idea how much further I want to elaborate on this, but for a few reasons, I can't. So we'll dance a bit

The diameter and overall size for the 16340 variation will be smaller than it's predecessor. However, an 18650/ 2 x 16340 (6V) extension sleeve
might be available (work in progress) An 18650/6V unit maybe developed to keep the respectively small original size of the 16340 3.7V version. Also, we're using a new type of mechanically made custom switch for activation. The location will differ from it's predecessor as well.
Looks like your still in the process of making these guys. you mentioned a resevoir and I am assuming you mean a collection well for liquid that leaks out. Is there a way to have that liquid that leaks to the resevoir actually drip back over the atty? I saw this in another thread and made me think of you.
*the miniscule well on top actually redirects juice back into the atty. if you let a drip go off the side of the atty, or slightly overfill, it will be sucked back in for consumption.*
Anywho back at the ranch.............got chores.
Honestly my friend, it was just a reservoir to catch the liquid and protect against a messy situation. Thanks for the tip! I looked into it and am baffled. Found the thread and a member mentioning that it has been done before...the plot thickens

Hopefully tonight's homework will pay off.
Wow! Look at that little guy... the pocket friendliest 16340 MOD imaginable!
Is that's sporting a 901 atty, screwed down flush to the top of the tube?
Yes sir! and Thank you! It is a photo of a very unfinished prototype as minds are still turning, but the concepts are indeed there. We have most of the plans all set in motion and are just waiting for necessary tools to bring true visions into fruition. Full credit goes to the Machinists, his craftsmen ship is just so meticulous.
