I have to consider my self a student Im always learning something new. Im defiantly a collector. I have experience with lots of mods and delivery systems but theirs plenty I haven't used. I like the tweaking and fiddling you have to do with Genys RBAs and that kind of thing. They are kind of like any high performance thing you ave to constantly mess with it to get optimal performance.
It is a hobby as there are plenty of good fair priced mods and delivery systems out there that will get you off of smokes which is the point in the first place.
The problem I see occurring is people thinking they are some how better because they have a little more experience or because they seem to like a certain thing.
If you stick around you most likely try new and different things. Enjoy the ride help the new guy remember we were all clueless at one time.

If you are comfortable with the set up you are using then as far as I am concerned you are an advanced user. Yes I DIY my juice and I wrap my coils but I don't know jack about first hand use of vv or vw devices, I don't see that as making me any less advanced than someone that only knows how to use a provari, or any better than someone that uses a vivi nova or a carto tank.

I'm DIYing. I rebuild my own vivi nova heads and I have a couple of RBAs.

My current hurdle is setting up a genesis style wick.

I'm also considering the virtues of attempting to cannibalize the 510/ego connection whenever one of my ego style batteries dies to make a pipe mod, just to see if i can without blowing my hooves off.

I'd consider myself level 8 out of 10.

I've been vaping about two years now and I feel that I'm in the intermediate range. (I've got too many MODS and the collection is growing)
I can mix DIY juices but also rebuild the heads for my Vivi Nova's and Genesis atty's.
However, the goal line is always moving and there's no telling what we'll be using in another year.
The only really advanced people are probably guys (and girls) like Zen, who are on the cutting edge of new technology

I don't see it all as a tiered structure. I see it more like a spectrum. With rebuilders on one end and replacers on the other. In the center is the new vaper (who is neither a rebuilder or a replacer). As the new vaper gets more experienced, they tend to lean in one direction or another, the more proficient and more involved they get, the more they will identify with either extreme.

I was once deeper in the replacer end of the spectrum, especially during the CE2 era; the bag of burned out attys/ce2s/carts will attest. But now I'm firmly planted in the rebuilder side, closer to the farthest end of the spectrum. Am I an expert or "advanced" user? I'm not sure how to quantify that. But I do know what I do, can explain why I do it, and teach others based on months and years of personal experience.

I've only been vaping for 6 months, give or take, but after registering here, realize that I'm still very much a noob, when it comes to the tech side of things. On the quitting smoking side of the equation, for now I'm perfectly content with my plain old fixed voltage eGos and CE4CC clearomizers. I just like reading about different things, most of which I'll almost surely never try, but find them endlessly fascinating anyway. Probably the most advanced thingamabob I'll ever get is a VV Spinner or Twist, and try some larger Vivi Nova tanks. I'm not a difficult person to please.

no matter how many detailed instructions I follow to a T, whatever follow to a T means.

The expression 'to a T', is often extended to form other phrases: 'down to a T', 'suits to a T', 'fits to a T', 'generous to a T' etc. It is also found in advertising copy like 'Golf to a tee' and 'Coffee to a tea'. Those latter jokey versions are extensions of the alternative spellings 'to a tee' or 'to a tea'. The original form 'to a T' is an old phrase and is first recorded in James Wright's satire The Humours and Conversations of the Town, 1693:

"All the under Villages and Towns-men come to him for Redress; which he does to a T."

It is difficult to determine the origin of this phrase. It would be helpful to know the correct spelling; 'T', 'tee' or 'tea'. 'Tea' is the easiest to deal with as it appears in no early citations of the expression and is clearly just a misspelling.

...thought I'd be able to help u out, appears as if no one knows the true meaning...odd

Wow.. I didn't think it was necessary to label myself. 9 months free of stinkies. Currently have no inclination to get into rebuildables or mechanical mods or anything else that requires me to take a degree. I know almost exactly enough to get me by, and I would check the forum for anything else. Smoke the same mixture of juice that I have since I found one I really liked. Still really like it. (USA Blend tobacco + vanilla + chocolate caramel). I don't recall getting too technical or geeky about my cigarette habit (though I did like my Zippo lighter). Don't propose to get too geeky about vaping either.

That makes me a replacer  I like to drip and I like my tanks. Plain and simple.
