What would you suggest for improving an eGo-T setup?

ditch 'em. Keep the tanks and use 'em with a Provari.

Explain how that is answering my question? I'm not looking for big upgrades. I'm looking for tank/carto/clearo recommendations. For a suposedly helpful place, some people here just can't remember the lesson. If you don't have something nice to say, keep your damn mouth shut. It makes me want to return my PV before it even gets here and stick to smoking. Its less complicated and frustrating.

Variable voltage is an aspiration, and I'd really like a provari someday, just not today. If I stay with vaping a few months I'll probably splurge.

My ego-T battery has been great so far, and so have the atomizers and tanks. No leakage. I've only also tried a Stardust, and it made the 2 juices I used nasty. I have a separate thread where I freak out about that though. Sweet juices have been great with the atomizer the unit comes with. Basically I've had the most success not messing with it so far.

May change though once I upgrade the battery

Hmm, it was a late post and I was tired, but my apologies if my hyperbole offended. I just don't see why the ego tank systems have become the standard over the regular ego. I was only referring to the tank system itself, and I stand by the idea that almost anything you can hook up to an ego is an improvement over them. Again, sorry if I was unclear or offended anyone.

I have used the eGo T with the same att'ys and tanks for 4 months-no leaking or dry hits etc. I fill the tank with a syringe instead of taking the cap off and on. I was primarily a dripper before I got the eGo T, and it has given me the closest experience to dripping to date. I have cartos, carto/tanks, clearos, etc. Thank goodness there are a lot of options now as everyone is different with what works for them. Even ones needs/wants change over time or even a day. You made a good decision to start with as well as you have a back-up plan in place for other options.

Ironically I find myself using my ego type batts a lot more now with dripping and atty tank. I just ordered a couple KGOs just because the form factor is just so convenient.

Btw I have a Reo mini, had an alpha, have a madvapes vv box. Mini is my field APV wife stole my madvapes box... And I sold the alpha cause I can get the exact same vape in the KGO.

I can highly recommend the low resistance stardust, just remember to tilt them when vaping to keep the wicks wet.

Thanks everyone! I have a lot to look at once our kits get here. Hoping we enjoy the "standard" set up enough to at least use the spares I ordered. Really liking what I've seen for the stardusts, might order those right away to have on hand, and a LR atty to try. And, and, and... lol This is supposed to save me money? I don't think so! haha. I dont really get the Ego-T hate; I've tried a bunch of different cartomizers and 510 threaded atomizers and none of them have seemed particularly special and they've all been a huge mess with juice leaking out near the connection to the battery. I find the Ego-t's to be a lot less mess and a lot less mucking around; I seem to have to top up cartomizers as often as I'd be dripping if I used a drip-tip on a 510, otherwise they dry out and the filler burns giving awful flavours.

I think with the Ego-C dropping replacement atomizer prices down to the $4 mark there's no really a cost saving side to normal atomizers or cartomizers; am I doing something wrong to not be madly in love with cartomizers/drip style atomizers despite having a drawer full of them?

I run in to the occasional person who LOVES the ego-T or ego-C tank system, but they are in the minority. For most people they are a nightmare of leaks and bad performance. I was talking to one of the guys up at the local brick and mortar store here in town and he said pretty much the same thing, out of every seven to ten that he sells, one person just thinks they are the best thing ever, and every other person hates them. It's so bad that he warns people away from them, and then only sells them if they understand all the potential downsides and that he won't be taking them back, and they take most things back. This from a man who sells a lot of joye equipment. They carry the full line, but they are talking about only keeping the upgrades on hand and not even selling any of the tank kits anymore. I have never had one perform well or fail to leak juice all over me, or in my mouth. I guess they just line up perfectly with the way a certain minority use their vaporizers and for them work phenomenally, but for the majority it's just not the case. I hate to think of someone in that majority ordering their very first PV with either of those tank systems, experiencing all the problems that so many people experience, then chucking the whole thing in a drawer and calling it a failed experiment. I think anyone interested in them should try them, but be prepared for disappointment, and in the case of a new vaper make sure you have an alternative plan even if it's just a few regular cartos to hold you over until your emergency order of something else comes in.

You're doing fine. You made a smart choice for a starter kit. The eGo battery is simple and a most practical setup that will carry over to enhancements. Don't worry about the chatter.

They don't leak and generally perform better than the T tanks. One big plus on these StarDusts is the ease of changing flavor/juice. They also last a long time. Once you have a liquid you like a lot, the Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartomizers (EMDCC) that hold 4 ml (and last 2-3+ weeks of heavy vaping) are hard to beat. My favorite EMDCCs are here at a good price; they last longer than the more common SMOK brand:

I have this battery, love it so far. I like that it has an inexpensive replaceable battery inside, and that you can vape a full 24 hours between charges (depending on your vaping habits, this could take you 2, 3 or more days). I am getting used to it being a little fatter and heavier than my 1000 mah batteries, but the nice part is it doesn't fall over when I stand it up on my desk. I like that it is Joyetech as I have had great long life out of their products over the last two years.

And to the OP, you might like one of these when you decide to get another battery. It will work with your ego charger and any other stuff you have or buy.

I started with the Ego T, and continued with CE2(for hot vapor) and CE3(for cold vapor) clearos from Katady.

Really good stuff when you're used to manipulating the syringe.

Yes, just like most everyone before has advised . . . Boge 2.0 or SmokTekk 1.7 LR cartomizers are so convenient, and really do justice to your juice flavors. The tank is good, but it seemed to take a lot away from the flavor, in comparison. Plus, I was always having to buy new atomizer cones, even with regular maintenance.

The cartomizers I purchased a month ago are still working today. Just fill them correctly, and top them off regularly. They're cheap enough to throw away when the draw gets too tight. Most vendors sell them for $5.99/5 pack, on average.

It's so easy to switch between flavors, too. Just fill 3-5 with your favorite flavors, and switch them out whenever you get bored.

Add a tank such as a liquidnator, or smoke tech, or even a DIY tank. yeah carto's are the way to go for flavor changes. I have a tank with a its own cartomizer dedicated to each flavor I like.
