I understand some units have a tank for holding liquid. I am looking for something in a compact design. ANy suggestionsa would be appreciated. Prefer a US supplier too please
If you are new to this you may want to look at smoove with their new little clearo which is a very nice setup for the price. I use a twist with run of the mill clearo when I go out and about. You need to be a little more detailed on what you want and what you smoke and so on.
If your talking about just a tank, I have 4 mini vivi nova's. They hold 2ml of liquid and will fit a 510 connection. I use them on my eGo 1000mah twist and also a 1100mah kGo. Either one fits in my pen pocket. The advantage of them is they can have the coil head replaced when it burns out so you don't have to buy the complete tank again. Hope this helps.
Starting out you can't beat the combo of a eGo twist and mini vivi nova. You definitely want variable voltage. You will end up buying a vv battery anyway. The mini vivi nova is super easy to change wicks (either premade heads or make your own) and is a bargain at around $10.
Looking back, I would make this kit to start. The premade kits generally give you items you find you dont need/like. I'm not much of a fan of those carto tanks. here is the kit I would build. No affil to vendor, just an idea...
NO, that DCT is scraping the bottom of the barrel in my book. Dual coils are a complete waste of money, and simply don't work worth beans unless you have a PV that can push them at 4+ volts (minimum of a 3 amp limiter) That smoktech tank was designed with the idea of limiting you to using only smokteck predrilled cartos (call it smart marketing, they could practically give the tanks away because of the money they have made off their cartos)
The DCT kit is a good start, but for ease of use a Vision Ego (also called Stardust) is small, easy to fill and works well on Ego batteries. If you use a low resistance (LR) one on an Ego you'll get a good vape that's very sturdy in your pocket. Carto tanks are very popular but do require either a punch or pre-punched cartos and a little fiddling at times. I've used both and you'll probably struggle a bit at first but end up enjoying either one.
I have an Ego-T 650 battery with a Vision Vivi Nova Mini. HOWEVER I am going to say to go with an Ego Variable Voltage (VV) battery as I will be upgrading mine as well soon. Make sure you get the coupling to cover the battery threads for a clean look. If you want links PM me.
Everyone has different needs/wants. I have and use several different setups depending on mood or what I'm doing at the time.
This setup is cheap and well set up for the price: KGO batteries 1100mAh Add a couple of tanks or Kanger T2 Clearos and you have a good starting point.
Ignore the Name of the link. The setup is SmokTech - 2 EGO type 350mah mini's, 5 mini Cartos, Charger, Case, Lanyard
Enjoying a cappuccino on one as I type.
Quote from an earlier post. "Either one fits in my pen pocket"
This is Just my experience, purchased a rebuild type clearomizer, it leaked on first fill,
purchased a non rebuild type from a different supplier, it leaked on first fill.
Did not over fill and everything was tight. Would not put in pocket.
Its 350mAh and naturally how long it lasts depends on usage. Personally I have never made it through a day with it, usually half a day, and sometimes less than that. I just really like the size of it and switch out through the day anyway.
Its not for everyone and defiantly has its limitations. Some people don't mind a larger PV that gives you more options and can last for days, some people like something more simple. Everyone is different so our vaping journeys all take different paths, but hopefully get us all to the same place in the end.
