I just got some bobas. Oh boy it's as good as I remember. I rebuilt a protank head with some silica from pbdragon. It's good but I know it can be better. I have 500 mesh or I can build a microcoil for it. What do you guys think?

I've been vaping 60/40 for the longest time so it hasn't been an issue.

I'm a bit nervous that bobas will gunk up cotton after 5 drags to be honest lol.

Haven't tried bobas before, but I have tried 5/95 pg/VG homemade juice on t3 with cotton wicks on a microcoil. No problem. If I find it not wicking fast enough, I just drag harder to force the juice into the wicks.

Just curious, on your protank microcoils, how many coils did you manage to squeeze in?
And what gauge kanthal are you using? I'm finding 30awg strikes the best balance on a t3. Your opinion?

For the coil itself, cotton or silica. But for the flavor wicks, always cotton. And, make'em longer than the stock flavor wicks.

I go through a lot of Johnson Creek's Red Oak flavors, and the longer the flavor wick, the better the stuff flows across the top of the coil.

For my Evods, the trick is to make them long enough to soak up the liquid, but not so long that they get tangled up in the threads when replacing the base (lessons learned).
