First of all, which Xstar charger are you inquiring about? There is no XP2 model that I'm aware of.

There is an SP-2, WP-2, and a MP-2. Battery chargers at RTD Vapor

I personally have the Pila, the Xtar MP2, and the Nitecore Intellicharger i2. The Pila is hands down the better charger, but it should be for the price. It charges similar batteries faster and looks like it is built to last years. No regrets paying the extra bucks for it.

The other two are not as sturdily made construction wise. Not really a fan of the metal slider in the battery compartment of the Nitecore; it's stiff and difficult to place batteries in it. The Xtar MP2 has flimsy springs in its battery compartment which also makes inserting batteries in it difficult without bending the spring to the side. I much prefer the spacers used in the Pila; easy in and out. The two seem to charge similar size batteries at the same speed, so no preference concerning that aspect. Both of these chargers use an USB cord that plugs into a USB/wall unit plug (included).

I have 2 nitecore i2. The charging is great but the battery posts are a bit annoying but nothing you couldn't get used to. I'll post a video of what is sounds like and how I insert my batteries.

In that video you can hear just how springy and harsh sounding it is. The electronics are fine, its just the mechanical side of it can use some work.

I have a nitecore i4. I love it. It charges everything. And when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING. I have used it for 26650's all the way down to 18350's. I've also used it for charging regular rechargeable AA batteries for my Xbox controler. It is my go to for ALL my charging needs and I use it every day. I do have a Tenergy TN270 as well and by way of comparison, the Tenergy does seem to be a much more solid device. The nitecore feel a little cheap. For as often as I use it I wouldn't be surprised if it dies on me before the year is out, but considering all it does I still think it worth the $20 asking price.

I had an SP2, WP2, VP1 and a Pila. I sold the Pila and the WP2. The VP1 is pretty damn accurate and has nice charge range, the screen is convenient too. I kept the SP2 because I need it to charge 26500's and 26650's. Honestly, I would go with the xtar between the two you listed. It's probably subjective but I would trust it more.

Sorry I messed up the post I just got a trust fire tr-001 and it came with a wall plug that wont work in my sockets no matter what its to big. But I just want something faster anyways Yea I meant the xtar wp2 is it faster than the Nitecore i2

If you are charging 18650's, the Xtar WP2 should be noticeably faster charging than the I2. If you went with the I4, there probably wouldn't be that much difference in charge time.

I've had a WP2 for about 9 months. It's a solid sturdy charger.
The only complaint I have is that the sliders won't accommodate 18350's without using the spacers.

After doing some looking around and research I got the Xtar VP1. It will charge at 1A which isn't great but I guess these small LiPo and LiMn cells don't really like getting much more current. I can shove 3A in them on my other chargers but they ramp up in voltage and then it's top off kicks in early and it ends up going down to .7-.5A pretty fast. It was a hassle to fasten leads to the cells and so I got the VP1. Should be able to charge most any battery in under 2.5 hours. I like the CC/CV modes that it has. It will pay for it's self over the course of a few years just by being able to kept your batteries longer by charging them properly at the beginning and the end of it's charge. Also if you manage to over discharge a battery it can try to bring it back safely w/o the high chance of a fire. Also the fancy voltage display is nice looking if you like that kind of stuff.

Don't get carried away with trying to get every battery to 4.2V. Old worn out cells will drop very fast after pulled off a charger but they will still work. I saw seeing people concerned on the candle power forums about their cells coming off just under. We are talking at most 2-5% capacity difference. My expensive charger does the same thing to older LiPo cells and it's very advanced. A review of the Xtar VP1 if you want to look into it more.

I am charging 18350s but this is exactly what I was looking for, if the xstar wp2 would charge them faster than the i2. I know about the spacers thanks

EDIT after reading the battery safety sticky I have made my finial decision thanks to ecf for the free eduction.

I use 18350 battery's that are 800mahs.

So I am going to get the nitecore i4 it charges at 750mahsx2 about fastest charge rate I can safely uses anyways.

The xstar wp2 charges at .5amp and 1amps so the 1amp or 1000mah would not be a safe option for my 18350s. So I am decided I will get the I4.

Thank you for all your helpful information everyone!!! . I posted a similar thread somewhere else if a mod want to delete I would not mind.
