Nitecore I2 charger 2016 version or Efest pro c2 charger? Any help will help, I don't want to charge from mod even though the G-priv says it can and I'm charging HE4 2500 High Discharge. I also have LG HB6's which one is better out of the two?
Regarding the batteries, the hb6 have a lower capacity but higher continuous discharge rating. The he4 are good up to about 60 watts per battery (so 120w on the g-priv) and the hb6 to about 90 watts per battery (so 180w on the g-priv).

Would add Xtar to list of chargers.

I have a NiteCore works well. Some have reported issues. Never use efest or XTar.

Yep, never trust a company who re-wraps 10a batteries and labels them as 35a. That is unless you don't care about burning your house down ;)

I go through two or three batteries a day and use dedicated battery chargers. From the two you listed I'd pick the Nitecore hands down (I have the I2 for travel and an I4 at home) but would also suggest you consider an Xtar. Just curious but for the price why not go ahead and get a 4-bay charger?

Here's the 2-bay chargers I would recommend;

Nitecore i2 Intellicharger Li-ion, NiMH/NiCd Charger - Batteries, Chargers, and PowerPax Carriers

Xtar VC2 Plus Master Li-ion, NiMH/NiCd USB Charger - Batteries, Chargers, and PowerPax Carriers

Nitecore D2 Digicharger Li-ion, NiMH/NiCd Charger - Batteries, Chargers, and PowerPax Carriers

As far as which battery is best, your HE4 2500mAh or HB6 1500mAh, it depends on your setup. If you actually need a 30 amp CDR battery then the HB6 is best but if your build/power level only requires a 20amp CDR battery (or less) then the HE4 would be the better choice because of it's additional capacity.

BT-C3400 is actually the same charger as the BT-C3100 2.1. Don't like it, because the cooler fan is very noisy!
Liitokalas are not bad at all...as an addition. Nitecore is also ok. My main charger is a SkyRC MC3000.
A year ago you are right. The 3400 V3.3 has a new fan, can't hear it, thought it came broken..

Odd you say that.

The 10A cell in that wrap is one of almost no batteries that literally probably can't burn your house down.

The panny in there is actually a great safe chemistry battery for tootle puffers.

And due to how high it's internal resistance rises under heavy loads, it's incapable of thermal runaway caused by hard discharge.

The current stays too low to induce the heat to trigger the reaction.

ETA: /ETA

And the luc 2 Bay and 4 Bay chargers are actually better than the nitecore family IME.

And I've seen nothing impressive of the nitecore batteries that would put them above an efest.

Only problem is they lie about the specs.

Meh... not the biggest problem.

I won't buy their batteries.

Then again, I won't buy another nitecore product as long as I live at this point, either.

I'd like one of those opus, but can't justify it with all the chargers I already have.

I'd like someone to buy me that skyrc charger... cause I'm certainly not paying for it.

Out of the chargers I have now...

Nitecore
Efest
Xtar

... the only ones I'd buy again are the xtars.

But I'd buy 10 efest lucs and throw them all in the bin before I bought another nitecore.

Shrug.

Panasonic does make a 10 amp battery that's great for tootlepuffing but they accurately/honestly rate it as being.... a 10 amp battery. All Li-ion batteries carry some degree of risk/hazard even the Panasonic, especially when misused. Placing a 30amp load on a 10 amp battery can be a dangerous mistake. Like rO55co, I too have a major problem with Efest's blatant dishonesty. What happens when someone buys their "35 amp" battery believing it will power a 0.1 ohm build and ends up blowing their face off or burning a hole in their floor.... Since deception and trickery appears to be Efest's primary marketing strategy why on earth should/would anyone trust any of their other products? Here's the disclaimer a reputable battery vendor places on all Efest batteries;
  • NOTE: Efest has been known to overestimate battery ability. Refer to known battery testers like MOOCH for information about these specific batteries

Jeeze, man.

Pay attention.

I posted a video of that very cell being dead shorted.

If you're going to quote mooch, do yourself a favor and find what he said in an interview about 10 amp batteries.

Because he said...
And the video illustrated...
And I reiterated...

That that 10 amp panasonic cell efest uses (the actual one in the video posted) WILL NOT put out 30 amps and blow.

Period.

I don't and won't buy efest batteries either.

I don't agree with supporting them considering their ethics either.

But the question isn't of Ethics or batteries.

The question is about Chargers and the Luc Chargers are better than anything supplied by nitecore.

This can be confirmed by the guys who actually test Chargers specifically. Key word chargers.

Talk about a facepalm...
