what's going wrong???

So yesterday (you may have read it) I was having trouble with the aftertaste from my regular juice, tasting chemically... It tasted just like peg, if you have ever had the bad luck to taste it, you will know what i mean...its awful!!! It turned out to be (I think) me mixing two flavours together, because it has now stopped after a refil in my nautilus.

Now today I have been messing around with single flavours in some naturevape tanks I have, that have changeable cotton wicks. Sadly these tanks have no air holes but hey. Both tanks with two different flavours in are being vaped on a sigelei V3 and a nature vapes eGo Ctwist

Both are brand new, with new organic cotton in the coils, primed and let to sit for ten minutes.

Am getting hardly any taste and nothing but a peppery tongue. The juice in the v3 is triphammer UK Oreo milkshake (new to me) with a 50/50 ratio 12mg nicotine. The juice in the naturevape eGo is vapourlites vanilla pod (used this loads in vapourlites devices with no bad taste) and is 80%pg 20%vg at 10mg

Could it be the tanks? I have used them loads before with a medicinal home brew juice with no problem.

Could it be the nicotine? Surely not at that strength?

Should I drop down to 6mg???

I'm actually thinking of going back to eGo devices with disposable clearomizer because I had no trouble with those!!!!!!

Any idea.....I hate the pepper!!!!!!

"Peppery" sounds like nicotine. 12mg strength is certainly a level at which you can taste it. Did you shake the bottles well before filling your clearo?

Also sometimes wicks can cause the liquid to separate (kind of like chromatography) - try vaping them for a bit more and see if the flavor starts coming through.

Do supplier brands need steeping more I wonder???

Steeping typically depends on the flavour you use, tobacco and chocolates are 2 that spring to mind that benefit from a week of being left alone, especially if your supplier mixes them to order.

Also, shake them up to make sure they are mixed every time you refill your tank.

Cotton Wool has a distinctive taste. It is most noticeable on a new coil. If I make a Kafun build with cotton wool, the first tank is a bit edgy with the taste.

.. and a mini glass tank is going to take a fill or two to settle down. Actually, I don't enjoy the first tank that much.

OK..so don't throw away the new juice just yet then...I'll give it another go

Umm. My fault.

This comment should have read.

mini Glass tanks with microcoil+cotton wool atomizers take a couple fills to for the coil to settle down.

A glass/pyrex tank itself is fine straight off.
