What's in a Name? Help me decide. :)

So, I've decided that I want to open up my own online e-cig store. I haven't seen ANY people out here in San Diego with an e-cig, and I'm certain that there is a huge market out here for them. I've started all the brainstorming and researching and stressing! However, I haven't been able to come up with a name for my site. I have been tossing around some ideas, but the few I like are:

supersweetecigs.com

abcigs.com

gottavape.com

vapourheaven.com

Of course I haven't gotten to check to see if anyone already has the name, but I really am leaning towards "supersweetecigs". I just like the ring it has, and I feel like it's a memorable name.

Anyway, any input/suggestions would be awesome.

Nayetopps --Here is my input for what it is worth from a business point--when you are trying to sell people on an alternative product to what they are currently using--you what to convey that it will be at least somewhat similar--No e-cig taste that I have ever tried tastes like a real cigarette by any means, but the name "supersweetecigs" goes way overboard in the other direction. It makes it sound to people like they will be try a product that is akin to sucking on a lollypop if that makes sense and that is not what people want either--at least in my opinion. As we all know--once we get into the game and start vaping--then we start trying out different flavors that are sweet. I do like your idea of "vapourheaven.com" --good name, no hyphen--easy to remember, and nothing askew there. Again just my opinion--Glad to see you going to make a go of it and hope all the best for you in your new venture--Sun Vaporer

Thank you SO much for your input! I didn't even think of "supersweetcigs" in that contex. I was thinking more along the lines of it being "super cool" ya know? But i see where that could be misleading. Thank you.

So VaporHeaven is my new first choice! lol

You may also want to think who your marketing too. If the name has cig or cigarettes in it them smokers will be attracted. If it just uses the term vapor, or vapour - if your french. Then most people who don't know about e-cigs may never take a look. I am curently about to change my website name.

So far "VaporHeaven" is tops, Buuut I'm still not sure.. I don't know if i like it or not and I'm hoping that when I come across the right name i'll know..

It's so much fun trying to figure out a good name (I like VapeyCig.com). I remember trying to help my son with his when he first decieded to set up an e-cig website. Best wishes on making a good choice! By the way you can get several website names and point them to your main site, covering all the bases.

Take words that can easily be misspelled into consideration(ie. vapour/vapor). Try to keep it short, sweet, and to the point. Also, think about creating a lifestyle with whatever site/name you come up with. There are many suppliers out there, what is going to set you apart from the rest? Think about your target market, and what it is that would make them want to try your product. I found mine by thinking of why people would want to stop smoking, and then busting out the thesaurus and playing with word combinations. It is a frustrating process, but I am sure you will come up with something great.. Good luck!

P.S. I just wanted to add a little snippit to clarify something..

"I found mine by thinking of why people would want to stop smoking..." - People generally want to quit, but can't. So I was thinking of something that would motivate people to visit the site, and let them know that they don't have to quit, because there is an alternative out there. Selling the devices as a smoking cessation (quitting) product is a big no-no.. so keep that in mind as well.

I think you hit a winner with VaporHeaven right out of the box--I remembered it from this morning and I am terrible at names unless I write it down--try not to get too hung up on it so long as you find one that has no impedements and conveys well--run with it--good luck in whatever you choose--Sun

After having thrown this into a completely wrong thread, I'm now reposting it in the thread I meant it to be... (I hope!)


My vote almost goes the same way as Sun and Rejoice (vapourheaven). Only difficulty I see is the 'u' being in or out of it (and thus people might miss fnding it with searchengines and such). Perhaps something along the same lines but without this possible issue? I don't know... vapingheaven or vapeheaven perhaps?
