Can someone tell me the difference between a "genesis style" rba and a kaifun style? I've read several places that Genesis style are much more difficult to build, but I've never heard why exactly.

A genesis has the tank below the deck. Similar to a dripper with a tank under it. A wick goes from the coil down into the tank. The tank is sealed except for the wick hole. You need to keep it upright or it can leak. You may need to tilt the tank to keep the liquid close to the wick hole to keep the coil feed.

A kayfun has the tank above the deck and works like a clearomizer only with a deck and replaceable coil and wick.

Wire (22 - 32 gauge)
Wick - cotton (yarn, ball, bacon styles), hemp cotton
Nail clippers
Wire cutters
MicroPuck
Screwdriver set
Ohm reader
Hex wrench set
Pliers (needle nose and crafting)
Tweezers
Propane torch
Tabletop vice (for holding a mod/atty during rebuilding)

I think that's about it!

This is my wife's jewelry making work area. If it isn't here, I probably don't need it!!!

My basic recoil kit. The usual needle nose pliers, flush cutters, tweezers and electrical ferrules. The ferrules are usually for crimping onto the end of wires for terminal strips. I use them as a form to wrap my coils around. They come in various sizes. The ones shown go from 1.8 mm to 2.8mm in about .2mm increments. Great for sizing your coil to match the fluid hole.

My hubby is in mine! LOL

Tracey :2cool:

Haha, my hubby is totally uninterested in rebuilding. Heck he doesn't even refill his own tanks. I do it for him. But at least he uses it.

I'm interested in the Ready X Wick. Everything I've read said it gives the purest flavor of any wick material. How do they make ceramic into a pliable rope?

For coil building, This is it. Had a bunch of stuff over the last year and a half but narrowed it down to only the necessities to consistently crank out and mount perfect 1.2 to 2.0 ohm micro coils every time. I wick with Koh Gen Do Japanese organic cotton.

I like stuff simple and easily repeatable :)

Oh, I forgot to show my needle nose pliers and scissors but their not kept in my vape drawer in the file cabinet in my home office.

Ohm meter, mini scissors, jar-o-cotton, nailclippers, flathead & phillips screwdrivers, tweezers, kanthal, ego body, drill bits, dremel 300 series

I bought the dremel drill bits for drilling airholes, but they don't work as well as the diamond burr bits. Im still glad I bought them tho because they are awesome for wrapping coils! The case folds open so they aren't rolling all over the place. The ego body is from an old battery that shorted out, now its used for installing coils.

Oh yea and the rest is in this handy little box

I thought I'd share a pic of my work table...lol I've got stuff in this box from way back in 2010 when I first attempted to get into vaping.

Not as organized as some of you, but it works :)
And of course using hubbies "cheater" glasses...
