Neither here nor there
My first 901 atomizer lasted me nearly 5 months. In the last 10 days, I've blown 6 of them. I have three devices in rotation at all times: the Xhaler, Prodigy v1 and Prodigy v2. I haven't noticed one device blowing the attys more frequently than the other devices. My liquids are in rotation too. I have been using some Strictly E juice, some Tasty Vapor, and some Cash juice.

The only thing I can think of is that I bought a bad batch of atomizers, or that mixing the various formulas of juice in one atomizer causes them to fail more quickly. I prefer similar flavors of juice, so I might vape some vanilla for awhile and then drip some vanilla caramel or Riskee into the same atomizer. The flavors are fairly noncompetitive, and I don't clean in between flavors. THese last few atomizers haven't lasted long enough to require a maintenance cleaning. They are cold within a couple of days.

My biggest complaint is having to break in new atomizers all the time. Garsh I hate that.

Anyone have ideas/advice?

Thanks.

I had the same problem with the last package that I bought(5 in a pack) The first 2 blew immediately...then the 3rd lasted about a week. I am on the 4th one now and hoping it will last more than a week. At this rate buying attys at 50 dollars a crack is starting to get expensive. You could reasonably spend a 100 dollars a month in atty's. They need to take it back to the drawing board and reinvent a new device. MWFb

I had the same experience with 510 and 801's.
Some of them were destroyed on 6volts in my Silver Bullet, but many just failed in a very short time.
I have now switched to cartomizers, and havent blown a single one in almost two months. I have discarded three (!) because i vaped them too dry and they started tasting foul, but none have blown, not even on 6 volts.
Give them a try. 2$ for a cartomizer sure beats 10$ for an atty.

If you are using higher voltages than 3.7, that may be the problem. You should look into buying hv atomizers. Most atomizers are made for 3.7 vaping. You should also consider hv liquid. Mabbe the normal liquid has not the proper vicosity to deliver the eliquid in a proper regularity, and cause an overheating of the atomizer.

Yeh, I blew through about 15 801 atty's in the last 2 weeks. I'm running a Chuck at 6v. I used to run them on a Prodigy at 5v. I also went through a spurt when I went through about 5 atty's in the same amount of days with the Prodigy.

I am never guilty of running them dry, I drip exclusively and have to consistently dry things off and blow things out.

When they go out, I sit them upside down for a few days or so, then when I collect about 5, I rinse them in hot water, blow them out and let sit for a few more days. I then try each one again, at at no time did anyone ever come back to life.

In the early days, we all had 3.7v machines with auto cut-off's took keep things under control. We have since developed some nice battery mods to increase power and life, all the while the atty's have for the most part, remained the same, which is currently the root of all evil.

Some day, someone will come up with a new more dependable design, which seems to be starting with the HV atty's, but I think we are far from solving the problem for the masses.
