Well Im thinking about starting to make my own juice.....

Whats all needed to do it? Like a basic run down. Not lab grade style. LOL I found a calculator
E-Liquid Recipe Name

And figured id get the Nic and flavors from RTS vapes As well as some bottles.....
DIY E-Cig Supplies & E-Cigarette Liquid | Make Your Own E-Liquid | RTS Vapes

1 How do i calculate more VG than PG? Were using a 50/50 blend now (Store bought flavors) id like to try 60/40 tho...
2 Should i get a PG base nic and add VG to it?
3 Also how do i know what % to make the flavorings  I dont want to screw up and add to much or to little.

If anyone can help id be grateful.

My advice to you on where to buy your stuff would be at WIZARDLABS.COM and then secondly check out RTS Vapes. I use Wizard Labs for most of my supplies.

My Personal DIY must haves minus flavorings:
Nicotine Base
Bottle of PG (got on Amazon from Essential Depot)
Bottle of VG (same as PG)
3x 1ml syringe (for flavorings)
2x 3ml syringe (for PG and VG or Nicotine if Higher strength)
1x 5ml syringe (for mid-strength Nicotine strength or PG/VG)
1x 10ml syringe (for Nicotine if lower strength)
10-20x 10ml bottles (for definite flavor batches)
1-5x 3ml bottles (for test batches)
3x 18 or 20 gauge syringe needles (for PG, Nicotine base, and Flavorings)
1x 14 gauge syrings needles (for VG)
ejuice Me Up calculator

Start at a flavoring around 10% on Most single flavors if using TFA or Lorann's.
Personally I think a 100% PG nicotine base is easier to work with than VG because it is thinner and is easier to draw into syringes.

To adjust your ratio of PG/VG you enter in the result ratio you want and the calculator will adjust how much you need to add of each.

I use the EJuice me up calculator. It allows you to enter your desired PG/VG ratio. Keep in mind most flavors are in a PG base and will count towards you PG%. If you also get your Nic in PG, the same will also hold true.

Depending on the Nic concentration and amount of flavorings added, a 40/60 mix (PG/VG) may not be possible.

Cheers,
Steve

This is what i wanted to hear! I got the App now. When i ran the app it says For a 15ml batch that i cant have 60-40 mix...... I end up with a Neg PG.

To get 40/60 (Pg/VG) Should i just buy my Nic in VG ?

Buying your nic in VG is exactly right. Your negative number means your total vg goal is being exceeded because of the total amount of PG being used in your flavoring and NIC. Most flavors are in a PG base and this adds to the total PG content of the mix.

That's what I do. I figure with my flavors in PG and my Nic in VG it gives me the most flexibility in PG/VG ratios. Good luck with your DIY! :vapor:

Your Welcome. Just use common sense, follow the safety percautions and everything should be ok. I wear gloves and use eye protection when handling the Nic. The best things about DIY imo is being able to make your juice exactly the way you want it and knowing exactly what is in it! Good luck in your DIY Adventure.

Cheers,
Steve

Also the higher the NIC content the more it reduces the PG needed for higher VG mixes. For instance less 100mg PG nic is required to mix down to your vaping level then 36mg NIC. But be sure you know how to handle and mix it down correctly. If it spills on your skin wash it off immidiatly and if you spill it clean it up fast and keep it out of childrens reach as you would with any household chemical. No need to be scared of it or go out and get yourself a hazmat suit just use common sense. I've gotten 100mg NIC on my skin many times and just wash it off with soap and water and never had any ill effects. Just don't let it remain on your skin for an extended period of time. You can wear latex gloves if you wish and an aprin if it makes you feel more secure but I don't go to those extreams I just use reasonable caution.
