Canada, brrrr
Has anybody heard anything about new next-gen products on the horizon? Which device is everybody going to be going crazy about? What will replace the ever popular 510? Any rumours, speculation or leaks? Maybe there should be a separate forum for this - it'd be fun.

I have a 401, and while I like it, I'm kind of holding out for the next evolution in e-cig technology. There has to be something exciting around the corner. :)

I think progress is being stunted by the uncertain future of the industry. Why spend money on R&D when you might not even be able to produce and sell it?

I tend to agree with Applejackson's comment. Most of the vaping improvements recently have been improved, reliable power sources (i.e. Super-T, AdapteveR, Prodigy, etc.). There are some very interesting technologies that could be scaled down to the size of an e-cig device, but the cost to develop an new atomizer, at a cost users would be willing to pay, would be huge. Anyone contemplating such a venture would likely not want to infringe on the Ruyan patent which might result in costly legal fees. With an uncertain future of vaping, it may not really be worth trying to improve on the existing atomizer technology.

As truthseeker points out, the DIY atomizer rebuild industry might have some footing, particularly if our components are banned from resale in the U.S.
