Ok so I've been in the vaping game for about a month. I feel like I know what's going on for the most part with cartos, juice, and batteries.

Now that I've had a couple days with my kgo I am wondering what the next step is. What is a tank?

What's the advantage? Disadvantage? Seems convenient to me.

What's a clearonizer? Is it a carto that let's you see the filler matierial?

Is dripping worth it? Or is it the most convenient way to sample juice?

I'm just wondering what I can do now? I'm very happy with 3.7 volts and the boog 2 ohm.

Any suggestions about what to try next?

I would say your next step might be variable voltage. Tanks are great, have 8 currently, but its just like vaping with your 2ohm boge, only difference is now you dont have to top off your carto because your tank takes care of that for you. I drip as well but only when I am at home due to the fact that its more difficult when your out and about, unless you have a feeder mod. Dripping will give you better flavor then a cartomizer and thats what leads most people to drip. As far as clearomizers, dont use them myself so hopefully someone can touch on that for you. Hope this helps some.

I'm pretty much in the same timeframe as you, Pete. It's Day 42 for me.

I started with a worthless cig-lookalike. Moved up to almost worthless 510s, and now I'm at the eGo stage. I've been filling cartos -- until yesterday. I stopped by the local vape shop and bought three Stardusts (the guy called them CE4's, but they sure look like Stardusts). It's a see-through carto that holds about 1.6 ml. I'm still learning the ropes, but they seem to work for me. I'm on my second day with them, and I'm becoming quite fond of them. I've been getting more vapor and taste than I've ever had before. And much less hassle than cartos.

They cost $6.50 each. Even if they last only 2-3 days, it's still cheaper than a pack of stinkies.

I haven't evolved to the VV stage yet, so this is just one newbie talking to another newbie.

Based on my limited experience, dripping is good for tasting. But it's a lot of effort.

Hi Pete, I haven't tried tanks or clearohickies (except for some defective CE3s, and since they were "defective" I won't judge by them). However, both logic & experience tell me a good next step to consider would be a good dripping atty or two. I can't imagine a better way to find out how a juice is *supposed* to taste cooked with 3.7 volts at 2.0 Ohms than to test it on a good quality 2.0 Ohm atty. They are convenient for changing from one flavor to another; as for the "inconvenience" often cited of either dripping on an atty or topping off a carto, I find it no more inconvenient than mindlessly lighting a cigarette (except for the "mindless" part, which will take time). OTOH, I can only imagine the inconvenience of having a full tank decide to take a leak in my shirt pocket These days my PV is usually fitted with a dripping atty & drip tip no matter what I'm doing. For driving over half an hour I'd probably fill a carto... or just do without for 15 minutes.

What is a tank?

I hope you are referring to a carto-tank. Just a cylinder that holds liquid around a carto that has punched holes or dremmeled slots in it so it can go longer betwesn refills and make sure you don't dry out an burn you carto prematurely. That said, some are close to works of art, see the BDV Pro-cise finish and the Phiniac tanks.

The opposite is dripping - you just get 5 vapes in between drip-drip-drips, but the flavor and flexibility of dripping can't be beat once you get the hang of it. Sad truth.

That said, I HATE YOU, Warren - I can't seem to be able to drip while I'm even reading a book!

It's sort of a brand name turned noun and it refers to a clear fillerless cartomizers (an empty cylinder and a coil with some device that allows the juice to wick to the coil). There are clear cartos with filler, that you can see the filler, but those are not clearomizers. Clearomizers are prime example of a perfect idea that is brilliant in theory but keeps failing (at least a little) in its implementations. Try GotVapes for a maddening assortment of all things clearos.

Then I have an idea what you can do! Keep at it! Nah, you should experiment more, really, it's fun and you may stumble upon something you like better BUT make sure you are always stocked up on 2.0 Ohm Boge's because, at least for me, they are the most dependable, reliable, consistent vaping experience that I can fall back on to whenever some fancy new fluxstarmegaallovarivape lets me down.

The Stardusts are also called CE4+. Externally they look like a CE4. The difference being that the CE4 is a bottom coil carto and the CE4+ (Stardust) is top coil.

I am impressed by your patience.

While I liked the carto experience I had a tank in a few days due to not liking the persistent topping up.

Have had a few top fed clearomizers but have not come across one that is as consistent as a Boge or Resurrector. Every now and again I get a perfect hit, as good as dripping, then m'ehhh. I can't seem to find a rhyme or reason so stick with consistency of taste.

I ran across this yesterday in another thread....

CE2 = Top Coil Design. Warmer, Stronger Hit.
CE3 = Bottom Coil Design. Cooler Milder Hit.
CE4 = About the same as the CE3 only Bigger.

If I were you, I would start looking into both dripping attys and clearomizers. Check out IKenVape for the attys and GotVapes for the clearos (Fluxomizers, Stardust, Vision Extreme).
