From my very limited knowledge I believe an eGo/volcano is pretty good. From what I have read here on ECF it can supposedly provide a full days vaping (about 10-15 hrs for a medium vapourer) on a single charge.

It can charge in a couple of hours with a usb fast charger and uses 510 (only) atomizers and carts.

I will be watching this thread to see others opinions and suggestions because I too would like to know this too...

Now is the ego "standard"? Im basically looking for something that doesnt have a risk of blowing up in my face.

I think it is commercially available. Not sure if that makes it standard but I believe it's battery is protected. The blown up batteries have usually been a result of home made mod's and unprotected batteries.

I have just recently switched from my Janty Stick V1, V2, and V3 to the Ego....

I loved the flavor and TH of the stick, but the batteries were just too much to deal with. I travel Internationally for a living, and a small, discreet, reliable device is something that is required for me to vape comfortably and safely while overseas, especially in the middle east.

I am an extremely heavy vaper, and I can get roughly 8 hours on my Ego batts. If I am working flights that day I have gone as long as 19 hours without a battery change. Thats a flight from the States to Germany and back... while this isnt the norm for most people, I just vape less when Im in the air.

Ego batts are stock batts that are commercially manufactured. I believe they are the standard protected batts as the ego isnt technically a mod, does not vape over 3.7V, and does not use two batts stacked on each other... so most of the things that are believed to cause these batt explosions are nil.

Check out the Janty forum, and read up on the ego.

If this isnt the route you would like, I have heard great things about Vapor4lifes KR808D "The Vapor King" I have tried them out and love them, my order will soon be placed. Im hearing about 4-6 hours on the XL battery.

Good luck,

Being an eGo owner I would highly recommend an eGo. They are a mass produced battery designed by Janty that uses the ever popular 510 atty. What makes this PV different than other besides it's incredible long battery life is the cone. The cone covers the atty allowing the juice to be easily warmed giving a fuller vapor. It uses the std 510 atty and carts which can be found anywhere and are all reasonable priced. I am able to get on average 8-10 hours on a single battery and I am a heavy vaper going through about 6ml of juice a day.

If you are looking for a unit that gives you great battery life, very good TH and where you can easily find replacements when needed, I could and would not recommend a commercial PV outside of the eGo. Now Totally Wicked is distributing the Tornado which is the same as the eGo but without Janty's great warranty. Jany offers 6 month warranty on the battery and the atty, which no one else will offer.
