I was looking at the Vaporshark rDNA 40.

What are the best competitors for that price range?

I plan to be using it on a daily basis and want it to be durable/stable enough to last a long time.

I'll probably be using a kayfun clone on it, or a eleaf lemo to start with so I can use it at home but also take it with me wherever I go and vape conveniently (why I want it to be built well in case I drop it or it gets bumped around a bit) but may try dripping in the future also so I want it to be powerful enough. (Never done dripping before)

In for answers as well. Considering the same as OP plus a Hana 30 in consideration.

Is the DNA40 the same size as their 30? Didn't see it listed in their specs, for me the 30 is a bit small as I like bigger tanks.

I'll quote a post I just read 15 minutes ago from a person waiting for rDNA40

Check this out!!

Late last night I ordered a green and orange 40 skins. This afternoon VS cust service actually called my cell phone. The rep said I ordered the 2 colors they don't have yet and asked if I wanted to change my colors. Then he said they have those colors in the 30 skin and that he actually prefers the 30 skin on his 40 because it is a bit tighter and over time it won't "loosen up". I stuck with my colors and have the 30 skins coming. He replied "good choice".

So it can't be bigger by much.

Shan mods
Really though, I'd go with the r40. Such a good looking mod.

I'm sold. After looking all night long everything else had at least one major flaw. Whether it was shoddy build or something wonky in the chip, there was something that was a deal breaker for the price. This guy really doesn't, but it's still really new though so time will tell. The quality build, reverse polarity protection, replaceable battery are great features. Wireless charging is a nice perk as well. I'd still like a Hana but the no reverse polarity kills it and every other DNA30 device for me. This may even get me to break out my rebuildable stuff again.

All good selections here. Tatroe Atlas, the vapor shark, and Gryphen Raptor 120W (what I'm getting for Christmas :D) are all top notch boxes, and render AMAZING results with RDA's. I've got a Mutation-X (RDA).

Though personally I prefer a mechanical for my tanks. I have to have something that looks cool. Currently have a Muraxus with a PT-II.

I've got nothing but respect for vaporshark. They prove that you can build an authentic with good features, solid parts, and availability for a good price.

After I went to the site and saw the pre-order now had changed to BUY NOW, I was pretty set on taking out my debit card.. Then I read even if I ordered it now they might not be able to ship it for another week or two.
I'm kinda glad I didn't pre-order it though, I read today one of the reasons there is a delay is because they are changing the next batches to have a magnetic backcover instead of screwback (haha suckers :D) and I also read there might be a glitch with the evolv chip? (thats just rumor though)

Anyways, I just wish it was a month or two later already so all the little improvisations are sorted out and they aren't backed up..

Personally, I think it's the nicest looking box mod out. Nice clean design and small.

VS did not ship any rDNA40s without magnets for the cover (haha didn't pre-orderers :D)
VS Pre-orders are shipping now.
