OK. I hope this doesn't violate any rules here. (if it does, it shouldn't.)
I'm posting a link to a site that I stumbled across this morning. It lists all the states and has links to info about the current status of e-cig legislation. Check it out and contribute to it if you have information that isn't there.
Choose State USA electronic cigarette ban - ecigs ecigarette
Thank you.

Mistinthewoods, thanks for the link (I've bookmarked it, as everyone here should). I grew up MI (central, CMU/FSU), moved to cali back in the 80's. The folks say it's the .....s there. Hope you've been able to keep your head above water.

Anyway, I'll be calling Senator Ellen Corbett, at 916-651-4010, on my way home today.

Great site!

Another site for those who want to really keep an eye on what's going on in their state: www. statesurge.com. You can go to "legislation" and click on your state to search for various keywords to see what legislation is out there.

The antis are getting clever . . . searching for "electronic cigarette" isn't good enough. In fact, in Illinois, "electronic cigarette" never really even came up in the legislation itself.

Suggested key words to search: electronic cigarette, nicotine, smoking, tobacco.

Lots of others if you want to get creative. :)

The site was wrong about N.J., it said that a bill to ban e-cigs altogether was recently defeated. AFAIK, it was a bill to ban vaping in public buildings, not ban entirely, and it went through. Am I right, or did something else recently happen in the NJ Senate?
You are correct. Our brilliant legislators amended the indoor smoking ban to include e-cigarettes because it looks like smoking and children would be confused if they see someone "smoking" indoors. The bill passed last year but wasn't signed until the last day of the lame duck's term. I think we have another month before it's actually in effect tho.
