I know there are a million threads. I looked at a few, but couldn't find anything recent.

My device is a reo mini. Do I carry it on the plane in my bags, or put it in my suitcase. If the damn luggage gets lost I'm hosed, so what do you think?

I'm not going to vape on the plane either, I just don't want a hassle is all. Jet Blue to FL is what I'll be on.

Thanks

Do not put in checked luggage. Put in your on board bag. Put your juice in the one quart bag allowed. No batteries in checked bags. Use battery storage box for extra batteries and put in on board bag.

Took a trip to AK last July. Three legs to trip. Everyone knew what my and my hubby's gear was for and had no problems. Have fun! :)

Check the TSA website for the latest restrictions... haven't flown since earlier in the year.

Pack your liquids in a zip lock bag and carry it in your carry-on bag.

I would suggest emptying any tanks you are taking as they will leak due to the pressure changes. If do have a tank with liquid keep it in a zip-lock bag.

Batteries go in your carry on. Do not pack any Li-on batteries in your checked luggage.

Don't try to stealth vape on the plane... buy some nicotine gum or lozenges before you leave. If caught, the fines for vaping on board are $2200 in cabin or $3300 in the restroom. Yes, e-cig vapor will set off smoke alarms in the restroom. Less than $20 for gum or lozenges is a far wiser investment... than risking getting caught and dealing with air marshals and TSA thugs.

Believe me, I don't want to deal with those {moderated}. So put the juice in one bag, batteries in another container, empty the device and put in another bag. Correct?
Your devices do not need to go in a bag, unless it's personal preference. Any tanks may leak when the plane is pressurized. My tanks are bottom feed so I store them upside down. Liquids (juice) still must meet the TSA 3-1-1 guidelines; no bottles over 3oz (120 mL), all must fit in a one quart bag, one bag per passenger. I travel with more juice than I can fit in the Ziploc so I put the remaining in my checked luggage.

Most importantly, batteries. Li batteries must be carried in your carry on baggage. FTA does not allow Li batteries in the cargo hold. Further more, your batteries need to be isolated so as not to short against something. This can be done several ways; putting tape over the ends, putting in individual Ziploc bags, or my preferred method go using battery boxes.

TSA is well aware of ecigs and you will have no trouble. The only time I've been stopped is when the TSA x-ray operator pulled my bag aside and wanted to talk gear and juice (fellow Vaper himself).

There's also Snus, if you need WTA.

I fly with my Reos all the time, it's super easy. I remove the juice bottle when I get to the airport, cap it, stuff a kleenex in in the spot where the juice bottle was after I blow out the atty and the feeder tube, remove the battery. I put the mod and the battery in one ziplock and the juice with my other liquids for carry on.

Reos are the easiest to travel with actually as tanks tend to flood out due to pressure changes during the flight.

Mmm personally I am wondering what I am going to do with my next trip to america.

planning to buy a ton of juice there. way more than a ziploc bag can contain.

do you guys think that I should put it in my checked bagage or just ship it over with UPS or fedex with the risk of our border patrol tax douchebags catch it and make me pay tax.

I wonder do people who ARENT a business have to write down the value of what is inside a shipment?

I go back and forth from America to Europe about 4 times a year. I just put the extra juice in my checked bag. They only opened it once, probably because I had a multi-meter in the bag. Now I just travel with a ohm meter instead.
The juice never gets messed with, or questioned.

So I have several bottles like this. I have to separate this into 3 oz bottles somehow?

I flew from the US to AU last month where nicotine is a class 7 poison and prohibited for sale or import. Luckily you are allowed to carry in for personal consumption and there are no duties as long as it's a 1 month supply or less. I carried about 150 mL in my carry-on and another 240 mL in my checked luggage. Had zero problems.

I realize each country is a little different but my experience is customs is looking for tobacco. I've first hand knowledge that the dogs are trained for tobacco (among other things) and not nicotine.
