Hello Everyone,

I've been vaping for 3 days and I already don't want normal cigarettes. I've only had one analog today because of a battery issue.

I have a starter kit that I purchased off of amazon from a retailer with good reviews. I turns out that the box says "new e-cigmini" and has "e-cig.com" on the front of the box. The entire starter kit looks *exactly* like the "red dragon" starter kit except for the brand labeling. These units are the two piece design with a disposable atomizer / cartridge combo.

I have two questions, does anyone know of a reusable cartridge and atomizer that will fit this style battery? And, can they be refilled at least once with some e-juice and a syringe?

As far as analogs go, I've been rolling my own with different tobacco, papers, and filters so I'm very interested in customizing the various parts of e-cigs too. Am I out of luck with customizing my first e-cig purchase?

What I Like About The 2 Piece E-Cigs Is No Messy Juice and No Leaking Until U Decide To Add Some Juice To The Dry Cart.

My Thoughts On The 2 Piece, ie VK's & VK Style:

Clean, Fast To Put Together, Vapes OK After Primer Puff, Does Not Leak In Your Pocket and A Great Addition To Your E-Cig Collection.

Other Then That It May Be Over Rated.

Elendil - see the above thread, lots of info in there.

Short answer - QC needs to be improved, and the inner wick starts to burn before you can taste it doing so. It's *possible* although seems unlikely, the RD has better QC somehow, but several suppliers have said *all* the 2 piece carts for KRD808D-1/VK/etc and e9/RD/etc clones are all made the same place...so it's mixed. Some suggest ripping them apart and 'filling' them *before* any use, others top off, many of us have ripped them open to find the insides burned. Doesn't mean that's not acceptable to *you*, as everyone needs to make up their own mind, but the only two piece cart I feel *fine* using personally are the $$ but entirely different greencig carts.

The 'dud factor' is really a crap shoot..some carts work great for 50-100 puffs, others have crapped out (burnt taste) within a dozen drags. Most are somewhere in between, but as always, YMMV..

    Thank you, wegster

I think "cartomiser" was the missing search term that I needed. I never heard this term before and searching for "2-piece" and "disposable" didn't yield much useful info.

Has anyone converted to 3-piece atomizers from this type of unit?

yes BUT itdepends on your model#. the KR808D1 (nebula, vapor king) battery works great with a DES901 atomizer and cart. I am vaping happily away on one as I type (though I just use the cart as a mouthpiece- I prefer to drip)

Quality control will always be a issue when purchasing items from China. When items are mass produced the love is not put into a project. Most are not tested as just a select few out of a batch are actually tested. I have been buying quantity of electronics for years now. 1 out of every 10 were bad. It got to a point where i had to personally test my items before I would ship them. People then complained that the item was not new as described. You can't win. Catch 22 if I may say. Just something you have to add into the cost of the item you are buying. I add the cost of one to every ten I purchased. Sometime even loose on that. My sales rep trys to make it right for me. I know it comes out of his commission tho. I just stopped asking for a refund and roll with it. That is the way you have to look at it.

holy crap i never realized that a Nebula battery would fit a 901 atomizer... and it works! i knew they shared the same threads but i never tried because it always seemed like the nebula battery wouldn't make the connection to the 901 atomizer...

thanks for the info! now my 901 can have an extra long battery life!
