The i2 has 2 bays and the i4 has 4 bays

Wattwick is right. Because of the number of bays, the price difference will be about $4-6 as well. You can get a genuine I2 for about $11 from most sources now and an i4 for about $16.

IMHO you can't go wrong with either as an option. That said, I have the i2 and have rarely, if ever, had a situation where I needed to charge more than 2 batteries at a time. Only situation I can think of is if you tend to use them and not have a way to charge every day. So then you are charging en masse.

i have the i-4 and it works great i have a few mods and have to charge batterys alot..the 4 bays are great...it wasent that much either i think i paid 25 bucks abought 6 months ago

I own the Nitecore i4. My daughter owns the Nitecore i2. Both chargers have been working great for a few months. They charge reliably to 4.2 volts. No warm charger or warm batteries.

I have the Nitecore i4. I think your choice depends on how many devices you have, and how many batteries you charge at one time.

I rarely need more than 1 or 2 bays for my mod batteries, but because the I-4 also charges NiMh batteries, I'm glad I bought the 4 bay so I can charge 4 AA NiMh batteries at the same time.

Just my two cents. I have an I4 as I like to move between 18350 and 18650 and the I4 give me the ability to charge two of each at any one given time.
