A friend of mine has the E-CIG from the mall and I have a KR808D-1. He tried putting one of my cartos on his but it didn't quite work. Do you think he has a D-2. I would sure save him money if he could get cartos from somewhere besides the mall. And yeah, I told him was wasting money but he didn't care.

Haywood Jakissme (sir or Ms.?) the kr808d-1 and d-2 are very different in some aspects and similar in others. Both are male connections, both run at 4.2v hot off the charger (gen 1 kr808's, not gen 2 which runs at 3.6v regulated), both are 2 piece by nature (as in carto and batt, not cart, atty, and batt, though on 808d-1 you can use 901 atty's). The e9 though (other name for d-2) doesn't last as long, doesn't charge as fast, has less carto options, and is used by a number of companies that heavily mark it up (as in as much as $50 a batt). Hope this helps...

Don't assume his mall e-cig is an 808D-2 just because it doesn't fit the KR808-D-1 stuff. It could be entirely different. If it's a Smoke51 Trio, for instance, it'll take 510 cartos. It's hard to match those little mall kiosk e-cigs to anything. If you knew the brand, we could maybe help find what cheaper cartos would match up with it.

I noticed on Kanger's web site they listed a few D-2 items and never could understand why they'd fiddle with the old D-1.

Now it's all starting to make sense. If you're in the rip-off business you can lock customers into the more proprietary threading. :sneaky:

By the way JC, just drove through Tulsa a few weeks back and the temperature outside was 114. Stopped to fill up and it hurt. :(

    in a cave, eh?
The weird thing is, if you look around, there are a few sites that sell D2 accessories at a reasonable price. The D2s are also known as E9. There are adapters that will let you connect to KR808D-1 batteries and accessories. But, the E9s are generally known for having more vapor than flavor and having crappy battery life.
