What's the difference between the KR808, 501, 306, 108, 118/902? My brain has thoroughly melted.

I have a V2 (KR808D-1) and a SideSho (j108?). The V2 is less scratchy on the draw. The SideSho seems to produce more vapor. Same liquid.

As far as I can tell, the Volt is also a KR808D-1. What makes the V2, Volt, and other KR808D-1s different from each other?

The 501 seems to just be a bigger battery that runs slightly hotter. Accurate representation?

I can't seem to find a 306 battery, but I found the cartos, attys, tips, etc. work on the 501. Why is it a different number?

The 902 looks like a smaller SideSho/108. Modern Vapor carries both. Are there other brands I'm not aware of and how are they different?

Finally, what on earth do these numbers stand for anyway? Thanks in advance. My head is spinning.

this might clear it up for you abit to read this thread.

the number is the type threads it has

Thanks! So is there an advantage to one style of threading over another? Is it possible to get any kind of hit from any threaded battery?

Also I LOVE my SideSho, but I'm not too fond of it being so scratchy. I've been told that this is because it fits a 510 threading, and 510s run hotter. That makes no sense to me. What does threading have to do with heat production?

510 is the most popular thread and will provide many options via battery and atomizer device selection.
In general, cig-a-lik types will run at 3.2-3.3 volts.
Larger ego/big battery styles run 3.2-3.7volts average.
The batteries we use have a max voltage of about 4 volts. Some devices will allow the use of the full battery voltage. Many of these fall into the 510 threaded category.

Adapters are available to allow the use of almost any battery with almost any atomizer device.
Stick to what works natively with your batteries. Find an AD that works and a juice you like. The rest is just chasing shadows.

So, what's the main difference that's making my SideSho scratchy and my V2 not? They're both cig-a-likes, but they definitely feel different.

510 stuff will apparently fit on my SideSho but look funny. Are there any bad things that can happen from me putting 510 hardware on my SideSho?

Threading and heat production are like apples and oranges. The only thing that might make it appear that there's a correlation would be if you were looking at battery X that has a 510 connection and battery Y that has an 808 connection and 510 is producing more power; but that would be the battery itself, not the threading.

Another area of confusion is that there is a "510 Battery," which is a small cig-a-like battery.

I'm not familiar with SideSho, but if a 510 can be screwed onto it, nothing "bad" will happen. What could happen is that the SideSho might not be powerful enough to run a device with SR resistance, which would give you a weak, cold vape.

Is there a way I can check on how much power the batteries are producing? Also, is there a list of bats and their power so I can compare?

SR resistance?

You really know what it all comes down to though? Simply this: Buy my brand and use MY products!! They all vape, but brand X does not want you to later go to brand H and buy their Attys and brand L to get your clearomizers and brand C to get your cartos.

It has NOTHING to do with battery size or throat hit or anything else. Buy only brand Z's products!
