I bought vg that i have been mixing with. It seems to work well, but there is almost no th. Will pg make a difference? If it will, where can I buy some? I am already vaping 24mg, and i have tried numerous flavors, but none of them seem to really do the job. I am kind of at a loss right now, and while i love the flavors, I miss the th from analogs.

Hey there Uncle Jar

Well, there is so much info on this forum about VG and PG, you need to read up on it all as this whole vaping thing is involved.

OK, first off yes, PG will give you that TH you are looking for.
VG doesn't. VG is smoother and produces more vapor but it is the PG that gives you that satisfaction.

There are many juices (most in fact) that are made from PG.
Many can be ordered in a mix of VG/PG. Some like 50/50 and some like 80% PG and 20% VG for the vape.

I too have bought mostly VG premixed juices until recently and I was missing the TH and overall satisfaction that the PG gave me.

VG is considered by some to be more natural a product and even safer but I don't know enough to comment on that.

I'll come back to you shortly with a list of some good suppliers.

OK here's some suppliers for you that offer up either VG based or PG based liquids. They also allow you to select the percentages.

I would go 80% PG and 20% VG.
You have to try everything anyway so why not.
Guarantee this will give ya that TH!!

These suppliers are known for high quality product.

IMHO, I prefer DIY Flavor Shack, Dawn & George are wonderful and the products they use are made here in the U.S. The service you receive is top notch and Dawn always throws in freebies. I use an 80% VG and 20% PG. I purchase my nicotine in PG and mix that with the VG and add my flavorings after that. There are a couple of ejuice calculators out there to use for mixing. Good Luck!

PG versus VG juices
PG is propylene glycol and VG is vegetable glycerin.
Either of these ingredients can be purchased relatively cheaply and easily by themselves.
They can be used for making your own liquid if desired. or for cutting juice you have purchased.

As far as differences go, this is what I have gathered from reading things here and there.

1) VG is thicker (more viscous)
2) VG vaporizes at a lower temperature
3) VG produces better vapor
4) VG is somewhat sweeter

Because of the above...

1) VG does not wick quite as well
2) VG may gunk up your atomizer more quickly
3) VG produces a somewhat cooler vapor which may reduce throat hit

Personally, I am pretty happy with an 80/20 mix like many of others have already said.

What some people do, like myself, is buy High mg, PG based, e-juice and then cut it down with VG.

Many places sell 36mg or 30mg e-Juice for the same all the other mg strengths. So if a person wanted to vape 18mg strength juice, they could buy 36mg and cut it with pure VG.

Since VG does realy cost anything, $3.49 for 177ml at CVS, you can cut your e-Juice cost dramaticaly and get both the TH from PG and the Vapor from VG.

I guess i have kinda been mixing pg and vg...my newest round of mixing i started with platinum ice(peg 400) and cut that with vg bought at a local super store. I just ordered Peg 400 mixing solution, and pg mixing solution from TW, I have made a few orders with them, and they seem very reliable. Hopefully this will clear up the problem. I love vaping, the flavors are amazing, the changes in how my body feels are wonderful. I had no true intention of going back to analogs, I have come too far to go back now. After 10 years of trying to quit, this time it just happened. The th was just something that really seemed to be missing, and something that i am hoping to get back. Hopefully this will be just what is needed to make that difference. Thanks again everybody.
